Zhao Li Ying and Lin Geng Xin Live the Fairytale Countryside Life in New Filming Stills for The Legend of Shen Li
I feel like Zhao Li Ying keeps getting period dramas with really bland English titles. The Story of Minglan, The Legend of Fei, The Story of Happiness, and now The Legend of Shen Li. The Chinese titles are all way cooler and for The Legend of Shen Li it’s called Yu Feng Xing (與鳳行 Accompanying the Phoenix) as she’s a fallen phoenix and ruler of the demonic realm. Despite the xianxia backdrop I’m loving the first stills from the filming which looks much more like a countryside Love Like the Galaxy aesthetic. She will reunite with her Princess Agents costar Lin Geng Xin for their second go-around and just watching them soak in the quiet peaceful life having tea and gazing out into the nature around them sounds like a lovely watch.

I cannot recall how many times I’ve read Accompanying the Phoenix, that’s how much I enjoyed the novel. The countryside vibe is great in the pics. I can imagine the novel scenes when they were together in their small hut.
