A Koala's Playground Posted on by

I may be jinxing it by starting to cover tvN drama Alchemy of Souls more but it’s that rare beast which absolutely fascinates me on multiple levels and the only drama currently airing that I’m emotionally resonating with. The new stills are out for tomorrow’s episode 3 showing Jung So Min’s Mu Duk checking out Minhyun’s second male lead Seo … Continue reading →

Kim Go Eun and Jinyoung Perfect Capture Their Playful Chemistry From Yumi’s Cells 2 for Elle Korea Pictorial

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

The story of Yumi’s Cells is already writ in stone, at least in the webtoon. There are three male leads and the current season of Yumi’s Cells 2 is only on the second man in her life. But rather than feel like a placeholder, Jinyoung‘s Yoo Babi makes it feel like a natural and so sweet progression for Kim Go … Continue reading →

I’m glad Joo Ji Hoon woke up at the end of Jirisan because the whole conceit was weird but I’m glad he’s not shunning the fantasy or sci-fi genres even if some don’t work out. He’s in talks for a new streaming only drama called Dominant Species written by the screenwriter of Secret Forest (Stranger), she wrote both seasons and … Continue reading →

KBS Mon-Tues Drama Cafe Minamdang Continues with Creative Promos Using Tarot Cards for Character Posters

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

I looked up the PD for upcoming KBS drama Cafe Minamdang to refresh his part works and was pleased that his most recent drama was Dinner Mate (Would You Like to Have Dinner Together). That drama was great for the first half but after the OTP got together it got a bit boring, but the pretty directing was part of … Continue reading →

Alchemy of Souls Releases New Cast Drama Photos and After Two Episodes Reminds of a Fantasy Period Drama Version of the F4 Dynamic

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

Last weekend’s start to tvN new Sat-Sun drama Alchemy of Souls was probably as good as it gets. The drama is headlined by a younger cast with two idol-actors in the mix and looked like a hodge podge of elements in the promos. That it’s actually fun and interesting was all I could have hoped for, which is what makes … Continue reading →

Tencent Releases First Poster of C-drama Lost You Forever with Yang Zi Under the Phoenix Flower Tree and I am Back in Rabid Love

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

Guhhhhh, this is not going to end well. Either the drama sucks, or it’s great but two out of three perfect male leads are longing forever and even the female lead is only 50% happy. I’m talking about Tong Hua‘s xianxia romance novel Lost You Forever, three volumes and basically my C-version of Pride & Prejudice where I think everything … Continue reading →
