As if I need another reason to love newly arrived tvN fantasy romance My Roommate is a Gumiho, a guest star is arriving that adds another layer of cuteness plus nostalgia. Sadly Ryu Jun Yeol is filming a drama and Park Bo Gum is off in the army, but another Answer Me 1988 male lead is showing up to reunite … Continue reading →
Yup, when you assemble it together like the Avengers its hard not to see the way wind trends are blowing for the second half of 2022. K-ent discussed that six big name female lead K-dramas scheduled for the second half of 2021 are all noona-dongsaeng romances or pairings, with an older woman and (much) younger man. We have Song Hye … Continue reading →
The first teaser is here for upcoming tvN Mon-Tues drama You Are My Spring and it’s arriving in the middle of Summer on July 5th but I’m all for the abundance of spring time vibes forthcoming. The first teaser shows us female lead Seo Hyun Jin strolling in the spring time outdoors, dressed in a cute dress with her hair … Continue reading →
I’m still perplexed as to how jTBC greenlit Sisphus: The Myth and landed so many A-listers to star. Park Shin Hye could not have chosen better on what she could have known, though I would say reading the script for the first four episodes would have had me running for the exit. Who knows, she got to act with Jo … Continue reading →
I still remember the early days of Hyun Bin‘s career when he was the scrawny flower boy type, cut away to nearly twenty years later and he’s channeling The Rock physique more and more. He’s got a way broader set of shoulders and muscles underneath his suits and shirts that we see onscreen when he’s playing a character. He’s also … Continue reading →
This weekend saw the conclusion of SBS Fri-Sat night drama Taxi Driver (Deluxe Taxi), which was more than just a placeholder between seasons of Penthouse. The justice by extra legal means drama starring Lee Je Hoon, Esom, and Pyo Ye Jin overcame multiple unexpected bumps from replacing the second female lead Lee Na Eun due to her bullying scandal to … Continue reading →
I wonder how those new to K-dramas who were not around during Kim Woo Bin‘s ascension to A-list young between 2013-2015 would react to him today with his comeback forthcoming. Sure one can watch dramas and movies with him but living through the rise of a talented new actor or actress is always a memorable experience in and of itself. … Continue reading →
Aish, this is no good either way. If he breaks up with her it just seems like public pressure and if he keeps dating her I can’t imagine the escalation from his fan club. Lee Seung Gi confirmed earlier in the week that he was dating actress Lee Da In and his domestic fan club has since gone crazy. The … Continue reading →
Welp, get ready for a wild and slinging comments section lol. With the news that Song Joong Ki will be the male lead of the K-drama adaptation of revenge novel The Youngest Son of Sunyoung (Korean title is The Chaebol’s Youngest Son), of course all eyes are on who will be the female lead. The novel has actually very little … Continue reading →
I think this is a cute update on K-actor Yang Se Jong, who is midway through his military service having enlisted in May 2020. He’ll be out around March 2022 and in the meantime it appears he’s doing very well as a recruit. A new picture of him receiving an army commendation was shared online and got K-netizens to note … Continue reading →
It’s almost the weekend which means almost time for my date with MBN sageuk Bossam: Stealing Fate. I’m so grateful for the existence of this drama to mend my Vincenzo gap and also breath new life into the classic style sageuk. Leads Jung Il Woo, Yuri, and Shin Hyun Soo are hitting it out of the park solo and in … Continue reading →
I’ll preface this by saying that newly arrived tvN Wed-Thurs romance fantasy drama My Roommate is a Gumiho is not a quality drama in any respect. Not writing, directing, or acting, and yet it’s my newest drama crack. Like, I love it! It’s so flimsy, low-budget, and ridiculously watchable. The first episode actually got high premiere ratings of 5.282% but … Continue reading →
I’ve heard mixed things about KBS weekend drama Revolutionary Sisters so much that my love for Kim Young Nam is still not enough to venture into it (yet). Something about highly unpleasant personalities for the three female leads which sometimes is done on purpose to then later show growth. The network has assembled the leads for the next weekend drama … Continue reading →
