A classic style sageuk is headed our way with the big budget Red Single Heart airing on KBS in the first half of 2022 and the casting is just phenomenal. Jang Hyuk and Lee Joon are the two male leads in a fierce political struggle for control of Joseon Korea. It’s a fictional story so it’s not a historical real … Continue reading →
If this drama airs by December 2021 then Song Kang will have four dramas in one year and goodness I’ve never seen that type of striking while the iron is hot. jTBC production is in final prep stages to start filming upcoming drama Office Romance Cruelty slated for June. It’s set in the department of meteorology and both are weather … Continue reading →
If there is a lull in your drama watching right now with currently airing K-dramas, this is a great list to go look for some oldies but goodies. Even I skipped a few of these listed when it first aired and always meant to go back and watch after hearing good reviews. K-netizens have assembled six K-dramas that were all … Continue reading →
Well this casting news coming official arrived earlier than I expected. After rumors last month that Song Joong Ki was the name on the top of the casting list for the highly anticipated K-drama adaptation of novel The Youngest Son of Sunyang, he is indeed the chosen one. K-ent is reporting that he’s been cast, though his agency says he’s … Continue reading →
I can’t believe I still haven’t gotten on the OCN drama series Voice bandwagon and now it’s on season 4 already. Voice 4 will premiere on June 19th this time with Song Seung Heon as the male lead and Lee Ha Na continuing as the female lead since the inception. OCN is not hiding the identity of the Big Bad … Continue reading →
I don’t know why I’m lowkey super excited for the next tvN Wed-Thurs drama My Roommate is a Gumiho. By all accounts expectations should be low but Mouse really wore me out and a silly fun rom-com can totally refill the drama meter. The drama airs on tvN this Wednesday with a simulcast on Chinese streaming giant iQiyi, which co-produced … Continue reading →
Hahahaha, the super genius is back and also the combining of top professions just to add to the competency level. So Ji Sub has been offered the male lead in upcoming drama Dr. Lawyer, which is exactly as the title sounds about a guy who is a doctor AND a lawyer. He’s a top cardiothoracic surgeon who then becomes a … Continue reading →
I’m sure some folks don’t know that Shin Se Kyung was a true child star, but she wasn’t active in K-movies or dramas in that role so she didn’t really gain her acting career until she was a young adult. In 2009 she changed agencies to Namoo Actors and then got her big break with High Kick 2 in 2010. … Continue reading →
I’m a huge menswear watch fan, not for myself of course but I adore the watch completion of an outfit whether for black tie or casual chic. It’s crazy how expensive the top watch brands are but it’s definitely an investment piece more lasting than even a bespoke suit. K-actor Joo Ji Hoon is modeling TAG Heuer in the pages … Continue reading →
It’s swapping like for like with these two young male actors. Kim Young Dae will not be Seo Hyun Jin‘s leading man in the upcoming drama Why Oh Soo Jae reportedly due to scheduling conflicts. He’s soon to be seen in the third season of Penthouse so perhaps that’s why. Stepping in is another promising young actor Hwang In Yeob … Continue reading →
This isn’t Lee Seung Gi‘s first public dating rodeo, years ago he dated Yoona for some time and the two quietly broke up in 2015 after nearly two years together. Both were so young back then I don’t think anyone thought realistically it could end in marriage, but now Lee Seung Gi and Lee Da In are dating and K-netizens … Continue reading →
Somewhere between the abysmal wreck that was Fashion King and today, Yuri learned to act. And not just learned, but damn near excelled at. She is as regal, composed, nuanced, and natural as I can ask of any young actress playing the role of the widowed princess in MBN drama Bossom: Stealing Fate. She stands out even among every single … Continue reading →
The news cycle here is suss but it’s also nothing anyone (sane) would care about so I’m all good with it. K-actor Lee Seung Gi is having a great year in 2021, with the acting accolades and challenge that was tvN drama Mouse and also bagging his first Baeksang Award in the Variety Star category. He’s also the lead off … Continue reading →
