I confess to skipping the last installment of the KBS drama School franchise, namely School 2017. Now I’m ready to find time for a watch thanks to the incredible success of the cast in the intervening years, and … Continue reading →

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

The two-part (so far) fantasy K-movies Along With the Gods broke box office records and is among my personal faves for how well it adapted the expansive source manhwa into a thrilling big screen romp. The director’s next film is confirmed to be The Moon, trading fantasy for sci-fi and feels a bit like Gravity. The male leads are D.O. … Continue reading →

It’s actually not as wack as I thought it would go, … Continue reading →

Gong Hyo Jin Signs on for Netflix K-drama Woman of Crisis Playing a Top Screenwriter of Makjang Dramas

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

K-actress Gong Hyo Jin has such a fresh, quirky, chic vibe she’s the opposite of what I would think of a makjang queen whether in dramas or in real life. But for her next drama she’s going full meta and the drama sounds like it’s a drama-within-a-drama. She’s signed on for the Netflix produced K-drama Woman of Crisis playing the … Continue reading →
