My adorable babies Lego Lee and Kirsten Jen are gracing the cover and main spread for January 2014’s issue of Spop Magazine (published by SETTV‘s drama production division) and the first teasers are out and they look soooooo cute I’m getting cavities. The photo spread is modeled after a throwback concept but not necessarily to the 90’s but will features … Continue reading →
I’m always the one watching a drama and talking about it, so I thought it fun to turn the tables on y’all with a drama that is currently the hot topic du jour and quite the hotbed of heated debate. I still haven’t watched Answer Me 1994, not even a scene or snippet, but its impossible not to overhear some … Continue reading →
I actually don’t care enough about the original Heirs to have a feeling either way about this other than rubbernecking curiosity but it certainly isn’t a surprise to hear that China is gearing up for a Heirs remake after buying the rights from SBS after the popular drama wrapped. The C-drama version will also be called Heirs (继承者们) but without … Continue reading →
It’s a rare treat to take a peek behind the curtains into a Korean entertainers family life, and even rarer that its coming from a huge A-lister like Ha Ji Won. In the December issue of The Celebrity magazine, Ha Ji Won coordinated a photoshoot with her entire family which took place at their home. The concept was “a warm … Continue reading →
I almost didn’t know what to think about episode 7 of In A Good Way until the very end when I let out a huge sigh of relief. This episode was a roller coaster of emotions for me ranging from anticipation to shock to dismay to confusion and finally to a squeal of delight. Jia En grows up even more … Continue reading →
I think there is only one episode of Prime Minister and I next week, and in fact most of the K-dramas might have one or even both episodes preempt due to year end award shows and the like. I’m cool with that since I’m also on vacation and all, but I’m going to be hella anxious if episode 7 ends … Continue reading →
I wonder how similar Liu Chuan’s life on campus is to Lego Lee‘s own college life? He is a graduate from National Taiwan Sport University so athletics is in his genes and he must be thanking his lucky stars because having to do push ups while Kirsten Jen sits on his back is no small feat. The adorable picture above … Continue reading →
The upcoming KBS period drama Age of Feeling (Inspiring Generation) is the first big K-drama to premiere in 2014 and its coming along with a huge price tag, cast, and expectation. This isn’t a smallish scale manga adaptation like its predecessor Pretty Boy which is doing abysmal in ratings but probably never had a chance anyway. This drama was pushed … Continue reading →
In a rather quiet but unsurprisingly news reveal, embattled Korean actor Park Shi Hoo has signed on to act in a art house Chinese filmed tentatively called Fragrant Scent (香氣). Park Shi Hoo has actually been doing some activities since his rape allegation charges went away in late Spring though he had long stay in the US to get away … Continue reading →
Did Heirs turn out to be a good drama choice for Lee Min Ho? I’d say there is a good argument on either side that it helped him career and probably hindered his acting development. He’s still young and has plenty of opportunities ahead of him so I don’t begrudge that he picked a flimsy nonsensical idol drama to help … Continue reading →
One of my favorite movies in recent years happens to be an adaptation of one of my favorite mangas, and I was probably a very good girl all year because my early present in 2014 is two back-to-back movie sequels slated for a Summer release. The live-action movie of Rurouni Kenshin was both a critical and box office success and … Continue reading →
A very Merry Christmas to everyone and good tidings leading into the new year! I’m happy to send 2013 off even if there are currently two dramas that own my heart. Both dramas could start 2014 off with a bang or end up my first disappointment of the year but at least it’s making me exceeding happy right now. In … Continue reading →
I think it would be hard to argue that Song Seung Heon is a very good looking man and he takes really good pictures. He’s got an insanely chiseled body but I much prefer him clothed and just striking a pose en vogue. Without a currently airing drama he’s been very quiet in Korea in terms of exposure, which is … Continue reading →
