The disappointing run of the first chapter of Fox Spirit Matchmaker series Red Moon Pact is still shaking out the timing and expectations for the next two chapters. Chapter 2 Love in Pavilion with Liu Shi Shi and Zhang Yun Long is currently being marketed for a November 2024 release but it’s the third chapter Sword and Beloved that seems … Continue reading →
So the big C-drama of the spring 2024 season may not just be In Blossom, now we need to add Blossoms in Adversity to it as well. Blossoms in Adversity wasn’t big budget or had a big name cast, and actually started off with criticism of male lead Hu Yi Tian and a general been there-done that impression of the … Continue reading →
So as long as top C-ent troll producer Yu Zheng is just shooting his mouth off and not hurting anybody it can be quite entertaining and this week there is a new beef he has. He posted about a top C-drama A-list actress who just accepted a new drama that Yu Zheng‘s own agency artist Wu Jin Yan passed on. … Continue reading →
This may come as a relief for K-actor Yoo Ah In in that at least he knows what his future is for this uncertain legal issue. The Seoul district court today sentenced the disgraced actor to one year in jail for a host of illegal drug use charges that started a year and a half ago in February 2023. I … Continue reading →
So some AI face swap rumors are false in that it hasn’t happened yet, but there are a few that have or are happening so this is definitely a thing in C-drama land. This drama looks more interesting than I excepted and for that I’m thrilled with the final casting. Modern fantasy thriller mystery C-drama Love on the Turquoise Land has released the first posters and preview a few weeks ago and I’m just getting around to checking it out. Starring Dilraba Dilmurat and Chen Xing Xu, the drama gives off very moody … Continue reading →
I fully plan to watch tvN Mon-Tues rom-com No Gain No Love with Shin Mina and Kim Young Dae, just haven’t had time to start yet. Early reviews have been good so far, and seems like polarizing than same network different time slot rom-com Love Next Door which has stronger feelings either way of loving or disliking it. No Gain … Continue reading →
So if the viewership was even higher for C-drama Are You the One it might be in contention for biggest hit of summer 2024. Alas the viewership was merely good so it makes the Douban opening ratings of 8.0 even more astonishing. I have been watching the drama since it premiered and have mixed feelings. I love the OTP, both … Continue reading →

So the South Korean conservative culture remains strong despite in modern times divorce being more and more acceptable and even adultery being decriminalized. SBS Fri-Sat night legal drama Good Partner dealing with a family law firm started off very strong with increasing ratings each week up to a high of 17%. But the last three episodes dropped and is now … Continue reading →
If Song Kang is the son of Netflix then maybe Go Min Si is becoming the daughter of Netflix on her own sweet time. It’s been a stellar summer for the actress as she has been in back-to-back Netflix K-drama hits, with Sweet Home 3 in July and now thriller The Frog in August. She was always great in SH … Continue reading →
So it feels disingenuous for K-ent to cover extensively BTS member Suga and his recent drunk driving (drunk riding) scandal and police investigation and not cover this way more serious case. Thankfully the K-media is all over this one as well and for good reason because the allegations if true are baaaaaaad. K-pop star Taeil (Moon Tae Il), a member … Continue reading →
