So all the vibes I was getting from Zhao Lu Si filming C-drama Love’s Ambition with Willian Chan was that it was a romance drama. So to hear that it’s adapted from the novel The Unseen Sister (大乔小乔 Da Qiao Xiao Qiao) and that the novel is getting a big screen adaptation with Zhao Li Ying and Xin Zhi Lei blows my mind and the first trailer for that is intense and way darker than I was expecting. C-ent is already talking about the two Zhao actresses doing the same IP adaptation but one for the big screen and one for the small screen and how it will stack up. I think if the story lends itself for different slice-and-dice takes and with the different mediums it should not end up feeling like they are competing against each other. The movie The Unseen Sister comes out first at the end of October 2024.
