So there is movement on a C-drama highly sought after due to the topic and the production team. The drama is titled Tang Gong 唐宫 or Tang Palace and is from the production company and team of Strange Tales of Tang Dynasty. It’s a Tang dynasty investigative drama with palace intrigue and episodic stories. The leads being courted is Bai … Continue reading →
So ever since Goblin in 2016 the two male leads Gong Yoo and Lee Dong Wook have been reunited for casual hangouts and even entertainment activity collaborations showing off their bromance and doubling up the good looking Korean man visuals. Seeing the onscreen and offscreen collab of Hyun Bin with Lee Dong Wook as the two attended the Harbin movie … Continue reading →
So C-actress Zhao Lu Si is going from Love’s Ambition, her recently finished filming modern romance, into another of the same genre titled Almost Love. This isn’t just a casting melon as the production of Almost Love has released the teaser posters and on it lists the names of the two leads. Her male lead for Almost Love will be … Continue reading →
Oooh this is a promising casting and pairing. I may have found K-pop star Jisoo of Blackpink maybe too inexperienced to immediately lead a K-drama in her first outing in Snowdrop but she was better than I expected and had potential. She’s coming back on the small screen with the romance drama Monthly Boyfriend, her casting has been confirmed for … Continue reading →
It’s New York Fashion Week time, starting last week and lasting through this one. It’s the American brands more casual cousin to Paris or Milan fashion weeks and this early September weather plus the US Open going on in Flushing makes for a great time to be in Manhattan and the environs. C-actress Liu Shi Shi has been at NYFW … Continue reading →
So apparently I do have my limited for watching two stars I love in a genre I love if the story and characters are just that frustrating. Such is the case for Love Next Door with Jung Hae In and Jung So Min which hit midway in airing this weekend, with ratings hitting new lows of 3% on Saturday’s episode … Continue reading →
Skincare and makeup brand Clinique was one of the many brands that K-actor Byun Woo Seok signed with to become a spokesperson for in Korea after his Lovely Runner breakout. This week he attended a CF event for the brand where judging from the intense attention from the media and fans the airport security scandal in the summer appears to … Continue reading →
So that neither is an A-list star but still leading role material makes this dating rumor and the longevity of it all the more sweet. This weekend C-stars Zhang Xin Cheng and Li Lan Di were spotted on a late night walk at the park after leaving Zhang Xin Cheng’s condo. It looks like modern C-drama Family Business is starting filming soon as the schedules for the leads have aligned and the investors are chomping at the bit for a rare S-plus budget drama. The female lead is Yang Zi, no change, and the male lead is by all accounts Liu Yu Ning, but some say Wei Da Xun and his … Continue reading →
So there is another underrated K-drama that reminds me a lot of the tense and twisty Train when I saw the promos. MBC Fri-Sat drama Black Out (Snow White Must Die) has been the little drama that could in the competitive weekend landscape, premiering to a measly 2.8% but increasing in ratings and racking up strong word of mouth. The … Continue reading →
So this may be one of those murky periods and it makes sense to try and do something right now before there is anything more definitive to come. Last week C-actress Song Zu Er had her year long tax scandal reportedly resolved with the government, she was found to have underpaid taxes to the tune of over $300K USD and … Continue reading →
So I’ve made my own determination as to whether C-actress Zhao Lu Si recently has undergone tweaks to her appearance, i.e. plastic surgery or merely non-invasive cosmetic procedures. My personal take on this is do whatever makes you happy until it affects your job, so for actors and actresses the line is when the change(s) look distracting for the viewer. … Continue reading →
The summer is over for good now that Labor Day is past and that means a slow down of drama releases but the ones coming seem more serious fare. Tencent is reportedly premiering Love of Nirvana (流水迢迢 Liu Shui Tiao Tiao) next week on September 9th or thereabouts. Starring Allen Ren (Ren Jia Lun), Li Lan Di, and Jeremy Tsui … Continue reading →
