I appear to have a Jang Geun Seok radar, because every time I discuss him with a certain lady who rhymes with MickeyD, voila, new stuff comes out about him. The filming for PD Yoon Seok Ho‘s upcoming melodrama Love Rain has resumed filming again for the modern sequence. Leading man Jang Geun Seok sports a brand spanking new hairdo … Continue reading →
Roy Qiu isn’t the only one benefiting from the popularity of Office Girls. His leading lady Alice Ke is also red hot in Taiwan right now, and she’s been quite busy since wrapping OG. She was off promoting her quirky movie Bear It with Dylan Kuo, doing various endorsements and charitable events, heading overseas to promote OG, and finally taking … Continue reading →
Reading Yun Zhong Ge, the devil is in the details and the conversations. So many shifts of expression, passing glances, things not said, which add layer upon layer to this story. My Ling gege finally makes his first adult appearance in this chapter, but sadly he doesn’t get to meet up with his Yun Ge yet. This chapter is just … Continue reading →
Come to me, my pretties. Don’t worry, I won’t bite. I’ll just paw you to my heart’s delight. Grah, having to wait an entire week for the premiere of Rooftop Prince just chafes. Especially since it’s all due to MoonSun, as if I’m not already annoyed to the nines with that silly dully excuse of a sageuk. RP, on the … Continue reading →
You know you are a certified romantic drama leading man when you deliver your first real kiss scene. The kind where mouths that actually move, maybe some tongue, but definitely both sides are into it. Former child actor extraordinaire Yoo Seung Ho has officially hit that milestone, with the coming episode 11 of Operation Proposal already getting press over the … Continue reading →
Awwww, I finally get to use a picture of Jiu Ye with Yu Er. Too bad it’s due to some bad stuff befalling Yu Er that (1) she sorta brought on herself because she couldn’t look the other way, and (2) might be more deadly and devious than she ever considered. I think this is the chapter of Da Mo … Continue reading →
Since news broke last week that Roy Qiu had a picture of Tang Yan in his race car as his good luck goddess, a slew of inside sources and sleuthing have emerged to pretty much confirm that the two are likely dating. And have been dating for the past year. Awww, another real life couple have emerged for the RL-shipping … Continue reading →
Anyone missing some Lee Min Ho? I don’t mean the hot new one that is about to cute-me-to-death in Rooftop Prince, but the original flavor Lee Min Ho. Oh yeah, and Yoona as well, because the come as a package for the latest set of Eider sportswear pictures. I actually like these more than the previous ones since Yoona’s is switching it … Continue reading →
I remain completely enamored of Fondant Garden. Aside from Park Jung Min, who actually isn’t all that bad either, the other three leads are just wonderful to watch. I like the characters and their relationships, and the story and execution is progressing so smoothly that I don’t feel bored or annoyed. But what’s fueling my rabid love for this drama … Continue reading →
Okay, okay, I’ve decided to be super nice today. Here’s a quick character guide to the folks in Da Mo Yao and its somewhat sequel Yun Zhong Ge. I’ve kept it short and sweet, since discussing each character too much gives away plot points that might not otherwise be as clear. While DMY was pretty straightforward on who are the … Continue reading →
I feel like I’m doing a public service announcement, since I’m not interested in Absolute Boyfriend, the TW-version of the manga Zettai Kareshi, but I figure someone out there might be. The drama, starring Gu Hye Sun and Jiro Wang, has landed the air date on GTV following the end of Skip Beat. So GTV is following up one J-manga … Continue reading →
So I also got my third main male lead cast, Huang Xiaoming as Liu Bing Yi (aka Liu Xun). His tendency to over-emote with the crazy eyes will definitely come in handy in the latter half of this novel. But I think his arrogance and carefree vibe is perfect for Liu Bing Yi. I confess that the first time I … Continue reading →
Gosh, everyone is so worried about Yu Er now that Huo Qu Bing is off to war. I can’t say that Li Yan isn’t up to her tricks, but I can say everything is always more complicated than just simply that. Yu Er doesn’t have one enemy, she has many, and likely her enemies are also fighting each other. I … Continue reading →
