I watched the four-minute trailer for Heartstrings and I felt it. You know – that rush of adrenaline, your mouth slowly gaping open in awe, and the stirring in the pit of your stomach because the more you see the more you want it. It looks SO GOOD, people. Before I only discussed how pretty the drama look, now I’m talking … Continue reading →
SBS has been re-broadcasting Lie to Me on weekends, and this weekend’s re-broadcast of episode 14 actually added back a scene that shows more close-up pictures of the very public declaration by Ki Joon that he loves Ah Jung. These pictures further confirm one thing for me – both Kang Ji Hwan and Yoon Eun Hye are falling so out-of-character, … Continue reading →
I’m starting to feel kinda bad for Ji Chang Wook. He’s the titular Baek Dong Soo of a drama called Warrior Baek Dong Soo, yet all the news articles and interviews have skewed predominently towards Yoo Seung Ho and his antagonist character of Yeo Woon. This is different than when Kim Nam Gil took a secondary role that didn’t even … Continue reading →
It’s been awhile since a saguek get a Wed-Thurs slot, over a year and a half to be accurate, since Chuno in early 2010 won Wed-Thurs for KBS. I think KBS is hoping to recapture the magic, using the same Red One camera as Chuno and giving The Princess’s Man the same coveted time slot, to premiere after Romance Town … Continue reading →
I feel like a bad mommy who force fed my kids bitter medicine (the Lie to Me written previews for the last two episodes) followed by a sweet candy chaser (the spoiler I’m about to bring you). Trust me when I say I’m suffering as much as all of you, and we’re all suffering as much as our howling Korean … Continue reading →
Based on the title alone, it’s pretty obvious that Drunken to Love You is the successor drama to the all-time ratings champion Fated to Love You. What’s cute is that DTLY borrows some scenes and plot developments from FTLY, but makes it feel fresh and new. For example, Xiao Ru is dumped by Yi Xian in episode 1 just like … Continue reading →
[Koala’s current mood: Â Moony over my GeunGeuns so am happy again. Like @Sere says, they are the chibi version of HwanHye, akin to a kitten snuggling with a puppy. LOVE.] So I have my M3 (Marry Me, Mary! Or Mary Stayed Out All Night) Directors-cut DVD set just waiting for me to give it the proper due, but alas, I … Continue reading →
This clearly cannot come as a surprise to anyone following Fahrenheit and/or are aware of the recent six-months worth of rumors surrounding Wu Zun and his personal and professional life – HIM Music has confirmed this week that Fahrenheit is now a three-member group. Wu Zun has officially left Fahrenheit, which will not be disbanding and will continue all scheduled and future activities … Continue reading →
[Koala’s current mood: I feel faint. I feel confused. Did I just read that? Why? I want to wave my surrender flag. But I (and you all) need to keep the faith.] WTF!?! Okay, this post might contain expletives. Maybe a lot of it. I never profess to be genteel or polite. I can pound soju with my oppas and … Continue reading →
Best Love (The Greatest Love) wraps up today with a giant bow, a farewell flourish, and a parting kiss to all the viewers who were swept up by the story of a top A-list movie star who fell in love with a D-list entertainer. Episode 16 made me happy – a warm, soothing feeling of sincere joy. I don’t think … Continue reading →
Yay, the fourth trailer for the upcoming college music drama Heartstrings (formerly known as Festival and the Korean title is You’ve Fallen for Me) has been released and this time we hear people talk in it. I always need to hear dialogue to get a better sense of the general chemistry and vibe. I have to confess that based on … Continue reading →
Even though the penultimate episode of Best Love was somewhat of a letdown for some folks, myself included, nevertheless I was undeniably excited to watch the final episode. I did feel like I took a trip to a strange land much like Paul did (the comic Pil Joo uses as a reference to his situation in the drama). While the … Continue reading →
The first teaser trailer is out for Beautiful Spy (Spy Myung Wol), and I am completely sold. Looks like we’re getting a rom-com using a spy theme, with dashes of what might happen if Best Love‘s top star Dokko Jin ran into IRIS‘s North Korean spy Kim Sun Hwa. I love the transition between tense spy moments and complete and … Continue reading →
