Park Hae Joon Parlays Success as Douchebag Husband in The World of the Married into K-remake of Money Heist and Headlining Career First Rom-com Drama

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

I think Park Hae Joon is a great actor, one of the best character actors in his generation considering I always remember his roles more than him as an actor. But goodness does he have “resting jerk face” and none moreso than in last year’s biggest drama hit The World of the Married. I’m glad he’s not typecasting himself anymore … Continue reading →

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

Well well well, the ending is here for Queen Cheorin (Mr. Queen) and I’m not sure if I should talk about the ending or just let it rip in the comment section. I don’t want to “spoil” any plot point but this ending is really quite special, as in I think it would take a really special viewer to find … Continue reading →

Queen Cheorin Episode 19 Heads into Finale with 14.227% Ratings Along with Reunion and Death

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

It’s finale weekend for tvN weekend hit sageuk Queen Cheorin, and I’m filled with sadness of what this drama could have been with it’s record breaking debut ratings and two firing-on-all-cylinders leads Shin Hye Sun and Kim Jung Hyun. Alas it won’t set ratings records for tvN beyond the premiere and probably won’t have the longevity of viewers since it … Continue reading →

I get angsty when it goes too long without a new Kim Soo Hyun update, lol I have no idea how I got through his two years away in military service. I confess to skipping the last installment of the KBS drama School franchise, namely School 2017. Now I’m ready to find time for a watch thanks to the incredible success of the cast in the intervening years, and … Continue reading →

Kim Hee Ae Heads to The Moon in New K-movie Opposite Sol Kyung Gu and D.O. From the Director of Along With the Gods

A Koala's Playground Posted on by

The two-part (so far) fantasy K-movies Along With the Gods broke box office records and is among my personal faves for how well it adapted the expansive source manhwa into a thrilling big screen romp. The director’s next film is confirmed to be The Moon, trading fantasy for sci-fi and feels a bit like Gravity. The male leads are D.O. … Continue reading →
