A good news post to end the week and hopefully April is off to a more promising start than the hellish March 2020. Married C-stars Tang Yi Xin and Zhang Ruo Yun have announced that they are expecting a baby together. They couple got married last year in 2019 and went public with their relationship the year before. They seem … Continue reading →
If any Lee Seung Gi fan is wondering what this talented boy would look like cosplaying a newscaster now you have your answer. Lee Seung Gi made a surprise appearance on SBS Sports News this week in a segment alongside the regular anchor and looked right at home in front of a blue screen. Lee Seung Gi is already a … Continue reading →
The premiere date is still on track and fingers-crossed the filming remains smooth for upcoming KBS reincarnation romance and thriller triple feature K-drama Born Again. It’s a bibimbap of K-drama genre ideas smushed together and not clear which element will carry more of the mood but I’m all for the sad sack romance between leads Jang Ki Yong, Jin Se … Continue reading →
K-actor Jung Hae In‘s currently airing drama A Piece of Your Mind isn’t an instant ratings winner but there are plenty of viewers enjoying the slower sweet pace. He’s already eyeing his next project and it’s likely to be the Netflix original series adaptation of the webtoon D.P Dog Day. He will play the male lead, a soldier with the … Continue reading →
This is the time to hopefully not get into any scandals and if scandals come then distance as much as possible. K-ent is reporting that K-actor Jang Geun Seok‘s mother has been indicted and will be prosecuted for tax evasion. The prosecutor is not asking for jail time but if convicted she’ll likely pay the owed taxes, interest and penalties, … Continue reading →
I love it when I’m totally surprised and this K-drama casting news was a nice jolt heading into end of week. tvN is prepping a new procedural K-drama Mouse and in talks for the male leads are Lee Seung Gi and Choi Jin Hyuk, who memorably played Gumiho daddy and half-Gumiho son in the fantasy sageuk Gu Family Book. The … Continue reading →
Movie theaters have been dark for weeks if not months now in many parts of the world so television shows remain a consistent new sourcing of visual entertainment to look forward to. It’s April 1 and we’re finally mere days away from the premiere of SBS Fri-Sat fantasy romance drama The King: Eternal Monarch. Male lead Lee Min Ho is … Continue reading →
I’m not a fan of K-dramas borrowing iconic Hollywood movie or US TV show titles because it just gets confusing and also weirder if it’s not a direct remake. There is an upcoming K-drama titled The Spy Who Loved Me and it’s not based on the 007 movie but instead a love triangle and the female lead is a wedding … Continue reading →
At least he didn’t commit a crime might be the only positive thought around singer-actor Kim Jaejoong and his thoroughly brain dead gaffe. Jaejoong posted on his SNS a message to his fans that he got coronavirus and was quarantining now, apologizing for living carelessly. He should apologize for for living brainlessly instead because a few hours later he confessed … Continue reading →
The first teaser poster is out for upcoming tvN drama Oh My Baby, the set up harkens back to other similar structured dramas that I enjoyed such as Eugene in Three Fathers, One Mother. Oh My Baby stars Jang Nara as a woman nearly 40 years old who is a successful career woman that has focused her attention on her … Continue reading →
K-actor Lee Jong Seok had one of the fastest acting career rises I’ve seen firsthand and that’s reinforced when his first update on SNS since enlisting in the military a year ago March when he posted about his debut anniversary. Lee Jong Seok debuted on March 31, 2010 so this year on March 31, 2020 its his 10 year anniversary. … Continue reading →
The end of March is here and April doesn’t look more promising in terms of global affairs in real life. But in drama life the upcoming SBS Fri-Sat drama The King: Eternal Monarch promises loads of reality escaping entertainment. The latest preview is a too brief quick scan through the faces of all six main leads Lee Min Ho, Kim … Continue reading →
K-actress Song Hye Kyo has been the face of top South Korean cosmetic’s brand Sulhwasoo for many years and it continues to be a perfect synergy. Anytime I see her Sulhwasoo ads I marvel at her glowing skin and want to try the products despite trying it before years ago and not finding it works for me. The advertising is … Continue reading →
