I didn’t even know Hallyu top star K-actor Kim Soo Hyun wasn’t fully confirmed yet for this drama but good to know with the news this week that now he is. His first K-drama in 4 years and his first comeback acting project since military enlistment will be tvN drama I’m a Psycho But It’s Okay. He plays a mental … Continue reading →
One is confirmed and that’s enough to get me interested in this long planned but finally getting filmed K-drama. Song Seung Heon makes his first return to MBC in 7 years for the romance drama Shall We Have Dinner Together. It was a drama in the works since 2017, if I remember correctly, but is now heading legit into production … Continue reading →
Man, are there NO SINGLE MEN in J-ent? Like, is the entirety of the industry married men so women have no choice but to cheat because there is an ratio imbalance? Two weeks after actor Higashide Masahiro was caught cheating on wife Watanabe Anne with aspiring actress Karata Erika, a second cheating scandal has been exposed by the tabloids. Veteran … Continue reading →
Even when a popular athlete retires and then unretires it’s annoying. Much less someone so fallen from grace and needs to never ever be in the media again decides he wants back everything he’s lost due to his own misconduct and lies. Park Yoochun held a fan meeting in Thailand last month and got people to pay him to attend, … Continue reading →
Woo hoo, the zombies are coming back a month from now. Streaming service Netflix announced today that zombie K-drama Kingdom will premiere its second season next month on March 13th. The first season was so good but also sooooo worrying with how broadly the zombie infection was spreading I’m kinda not sure if this is the right time to dive … Continue reading →
The South Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and its affiliate the Korean Culture and Information Service released the results of a recent 2019 South Korean National Image survey. I find J-actress Ishihara Satomi great in procedurals and she’s coming back this Spring with a new Fuji TV dorama called Unsung Cinderella. It’s based on a same name manga and her character visuals looks sooooo much like the manga character it just reinforces how crazy pretty she is in real life. It’s the story of a hospital pharmacist who … Continue reading →
Grown up child actor Yoo Seung Ho is checking off nearly every next gen K-drama leading lady. His next drama Memorist will costar Lee Se Young and the two look intense during the script reading. He’s also worked with Jo Bo Ah for My Strange Hero, Chae Soo Bin in I’m Not a Robot, and Kim So Hyun in the … Continue reading →
Now when I see Seungri‘s smug face or hear his name all I think about is giant douchebag. The fall K-pop idol was indicted last week (finally!) but the Seoul district court for facilitating prostitution, illegal overseas gambling, and foreign exchange manipulation. This week news broke that he’s been ordered to serve his military enlistment and cannot postpone yet again, … Continue reading →
KBS is moving forward with the next iteration of its popular School series, hopefully it gets back to being entertaining and compelling like School 2013 and School 2015 rather than the meh School 2017. The casting this time will bring together brand new actor Kim Yo Han, who was top on the world last year being chosen center and number … Continue reading →
All the promos for Park Min Young‘s upcoming romance I’ll Come Find You When the Weather is Good is bathed in winter palettes and snowy backdrops with layers of warm cozy clothes. So it’s a wholly different visual to see this new High Cut pictorial where she’s literally the color of spring interpreted as pastels. So rather than vivid colors … Continue reading →
Now I’m just waiting to see if the casting director manages to make it 10 leading actors and actresses in ONE DRAMA. Upcoming SBS melodrama Penthouse has another occupant in Ha Suk Jin, who recently had a memorable cameo appearance in Crash Landing on You. Maybe this is SBS’s version of Sky Castle, an apartment building full of leading men … Continue reading →
I’m super not a fan of a couple under the same agency. There is so much possibility of additional conflict much like when a couple works at the same company. But it looks like K-actor Kim Woo Bin wants to make his relationship with girlfriend of four years Shin Mina also a professional association and he’s in talks to join … Continue reading →
