I thought C-actress Liu Tao was just super on point at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival but girl was packing heat for the entire soiree and then some with much aforethought. With Fan Bing Bing out for the count due to her high profile tax evasion scandal, the top C-actress mantle was open for the taking and even if the … Continue reading →
There’s a happy-ish ending to report on the weekend shocking news from K-ent that former KARA member Goo Hara was found to have attempted suicide. Netizens were alarmed when she posted “Annyeong” a hello/goodbye single word message on her Instagram account. Shortly after her manager went to check on her and found her unconscious inside her apartment. She was rushed … Continue reading →
Aside from my love for male lead Song Joong Ki, I’m totally rooting for the baddies on the character poster visuals alone in upcoming tvN drama Arthdal Chronicles. In this day and age, when anti-heroes are given their own origin stories and headlining, it’s hard not to snigger at the innocent and wholesome types trying to win. I blame the … Continue reading →
There are some actors and actresses who may not be famous by name but are famous by face. That’s the hallmark of a successful character actor who completes any drama or movie by bringing to life a crucial supporting role. K-actor Kang Ki Young has been one of the most successful character actors currently working in K-dramas for the young … Continue reading →
Wow, what an supreme honor for talented director Bong Joon Ho for himself and to bring to South Korea. His latest movie Parasite premiered at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival last week to a 7-minute long standing ovation and rapturous early reviews. All that praise for the family and class-warfare subversive thriller movie starring Song Kang Ho, Choi Woo Shik, … Continue reading →
The tagline for the Tod’s event in Seoul this week was “No_Code” but it may as well be “No_Style”. I dunno what’s gotten into the male stars in attendance but imma give them all a hard pass when I laid eyes on the lot. There was so much fugly hair on heads and plenty of equally fugly suits whether in … Continue reading →
The Wed-Thurs prime time drama slot continue to be so far off the heyday of ratings it’s not even entertaining anymore to keep track of the abysmal numbers. There were two dramas that premiered the same week which usually yields an interest in which won the night but here’s it’s like watching two people weakly slapfight. KBS fantasy drama Angel’s … Continue reading →
I’m not watching SBS Mon-Tues drama The Secret Life of My Secretary (I Loved You From the Beginning) with Kim Young Kwang and Jin Ki Joo but the drama is in the news this week for a real life misconduct. It was reported in the news that supporting actress Han Ji Sun, who has a short drama resume with this … Continue reading →
I’m so perplexed by upcoming KBS Mon-Tues drama Perfume it might be a good thing if it makes me check it out purely to sate my curiosity. I have no clue what it’s about and the snippets make male lead Shin Sung Rok alternatively seem like a serial killer in the making or a hapless rom-com male lead about to … Continue reading →
K-actress Kim Yoo Jung first debuted her dramatic hair cut from forever long to manic pixie last month at the airport jetting out of Korea. Looks like she made a stop in Macau because Nylon just released her new pictorial with Fila shot with certain iconic backdrops, and at first glance I thought she shot the pictorial in Las Vegas … Continue reading →
I’m getting this stark dichotomy after watching the just released four character teaser preview for tvN drama Arthdal Chronicles. It actually helps me make sense of the wildly varied previews so far. Leads Kim Ji Won and Song Joong Ki seem to be acting in a Disney version of a sageuk complete with perfectly applied face paint, artfully curled hair, … Continue reading →
Gotta leave it to Snapchat to find a new reason to bring folks back to the platform. The messaging app released a new baby filter that’s an immediate hit with users and even garner new users to try it out. It changes the user’s face to a baby-fied version that’s surprisingly accurate and adorable. In the hands of young actresses … Continue reading →

Waiting there to greet his megawatt smile were fans of the actor who welcomed him with presents and a whole lotta love.
