It’s a drama upswing for So Ji Sub in his roller coaster television career, he’s someone who is really hit-or-miss with his drama picks especially. In recent years successes like The Master’s Sun and Phantom, and now the just finished Terius Behind Me, are contrasted with total fails including Oh My Venus and Road No. 1. I find when he … Continue reading →
I’m not going to say that second marriages are more likely to work than first ones but in the case of TW-actress Alyssa Chia it certainly feels like this is her true happily ever after after a really rough first go-around. She held an official wedding ceremony this weekend with actor husband Xiu Jie Kai, the two having registered their … Continue reading →
There’s a phenomenon of Instagram husbands and boyfriends whose sole job appears to be taking pictures of their lady for her account. I see it often at tourist or trendy spots and I guess being a famous actor doesn’t exempt Feng Shao Feng from becoming the picture taking mule for wifey Zhao Li Ying. This is the actress’s first update … Continue reading →
I thought I was in the mood for a dark twisty melodrama like Hundred Million Stars Falling From the Sky (The Smile Has Left Your Eyes)and for the first few episodes I was indeed hooked on the ride. But it gradually screeched to a halt as I never connected with the two leads emotionally despite loving the chemistry of Seo In … Continue reading →
There are pretty pictorials and there are jaw-dropping insanely beautiful I want to soak it in level magazine spreads and the Bazaar China pairing with C-actress Ni Ni is the rare latter. Ni Ni is already one of C-ents acknowledged visual goddesses on top of being a very good actress, by all accounts she stole the summer 2018 period drama … Continue reading →
It’s cuteness and surprising visual complementary looks for the first time with the two drama leads Yoon Kyun Sang and Kim Yoo Jung as they guest on the variety show Knowing Bros. They donned high school uniforms in the new kids transferring to class concept, with Kim Yoo Jung just a year out of high school herself but Yoon Kyun … Continue reading →
I think anticipation among K-drama viewers is neck-and-neck between two tvN dramas Memories of Alhambra and Boyfriend. They don’t compete with each other in time slot but the high profile lead casting is certainly generating fandom excitement. I’m personally more interested in Memories, with the cool VR/AR concept, action-hero (or anti-hero?) Hyun Bin, and hostel owner and guitar playing Park … Continue reading →
I love the IDGAF attitude of TW-actress Alyssia Chia in her second go-around at love. She’s so open and working hard at it, and looking amazing for being 44-years old and the mother of three daughters. Alyssia retired at the height of her fame after the drama adaptation of Heavenly Sword and Dragon Sabre to marry a chaebol heir with … Continue reading →
With the overseas location shoot portion of the K-drama Vagabond completed as of last week. K-actor Lee Seung Gi is back in South Korea and resuming his usual spate of events. First up this week is attending the ribbon cutting for the KF Jobs Fair to promote increased hiring and employment, always important to keep the economy humming. His hair … Continue reading →
It’s pretty cute to see the leads of tvN drama Encounter (Boyfriend) dressed in coordinating style classy outfits for the press conference. Park Bo Gum donned a autumnal beige double-breasted suit and Song Hye Kyo complemented with a white suit dress with beige heels. He’s cut the long shaggy locks from earlier this summer which was also his look during … Continue reading →
It’s a beautiful and proud moment to see a young girl, in the limelight from the moment she was born due to the fame of her parents, step forward on her own accord and with such confidence. 12-year old Li Yan is most famous for being the daughter of HK superstar songstress Faye Wong and her now ex-husband C-actor Li … Continue reading →
Not following an actor or actress means massive catchup to truly get the full picture and it’s been a doozy to see how far C-actor Jiang Jing Fu fell to hit rock bottom this week with his domestic violence admission. His career was sky high out of the gate signing with hitmaker Tangren Entertainment, the agency of Hu Ge and … Continue reading →
This week concluded the airing of jTBC Mon-Tues drama The Beauty Inside, an adaptation of the movie of the same name but with a gender switch and also tweaked body morphing logic. Female lead Seo Hyun Jin changes once a month for a week and has managed to become a top actress, albeit one known for suddenly disappearing for a … Continue reading →
