J-ent continues to cheer on the reel to real romance of top young but of marriage-able age stars Yamashita Tomohisa and Ishihara Satomi. That they are two of the most beautiful faces of their acting generation certainly fuels the excitement for some sort of visually impeccable progeny, but for me I’m just luxuriating in two of my faves falling in … Continue reading →
For all the leading lady search headaches, what I’m seeing from the promos for upcoming KBS drama Fight My Way (Third Way My Way) has all the earmarks of being a sweet and sassy watch with two engaging lead characters. Park Seo Joon and Kim Ji Won are the best friends for a long time mutual underdogs with big dreams, … Continue reading →
SBS already has one sageuk disappointment this year with Saimdang: Light’s Diary, it’ll be unfortunate if the next one to premiere also fails to live up to expectations. Saimdang failed to live up to the allure of Hallyu leading lady Lee Young Ae, but the upcoming K-drama remake of My Sassy Girl has to live up to the popularity of … Continue reading →
It’s new drama Wednesday, with not one but two new arrivals in the prime time slot. SBS has modern rom-com Suspicious Partner while MBC is offering up classic sageuk intrigue with Ruler: Master of the Mask, both joining KBS‘s quirky noir Mystery Queen which is in the middle of its run. I actually adore Mystery Queen and it’s the drama I … Continue reading →
I’m getting this feeling that former idol turned actress Sulli may be the Korean Kardashian, famous for being famous rather than an actual artistic talent. Perhaps her fans can point to her movie career but let’s be honest that she’s only in the news so much for her dating life and sometimes uncomfortable to look at Instagram pictures. Sulli’s back … Continue reading →
Great timing is as important as choosing wisely and both seem to be in abundance around K-actor Lee Bum Soo both in professional and personal life. The two kids have become household names … Continue reading →
Okay, that girl is totally what I would be like if Rain gave me a hug, onstage or offstage on the life altering chance he’s standing right next to me some place some day. I’d be all like “lemme hug you but HOMG I’m so nervous!”, but all done with zero thirsty want and all admiration and appreciation for the … Continue reading →
South Korea really moved fast on what may go down as the biggest political scandal of the modern era. From when now former and impeached President Park Geun Hye was outed as being under the thumb of her best friend and daughter of a cult leader Choi Soon Shil to when Park Geun Hye’s impeachment was upheld by the court, … Continue reading →
The date and location is set for TW-actress Ady An‘s upcoming wedding extravaganza, making her the first big Taiwan star wedding of 2017. Last year’s batched of newly marrieds are all having babies this year but there will still be plenty of famous faces attending Ady’s wedding in June on the beautiful island of Hawaii. She’s got a big friendship … Continue reading →
It’s rare among recent years not to see Kim Soo Hyun attending last week’s Baeksang Arts Award, he’s been a staple there ever since his breakout with The Moon Embraces the Sun and onward with successive years making major hit movies and K-dramas. I can’t even say he’s passing the baton to the juniors since he’s only 29 years old, making … Continue reading →
