What can I say about this episode 13 of Hyde, Jekyll, Me? If the screenwriter was aiming for a “how low can I go” race to the bottom, then congrats on succeeding to one-up the drama’s stupidity level with yet another whiz bang episode of underwhelming crap. I’m basically going to treat this recap endeavor as taking one for the … Continue reading →
Currently MBC‘s Mon-Tues fusion sageuk Shine or Go Crazy is comfortably leading the ratings for its time slot, but fifty episode long sageuks don’t just materialize out of thin air so all eyes are on followup drama Splendid Politics (Hwajung, or could be called Princess Jungmyung). Usually MBC does its long sageuk earlier in the year but Splendid Politics won’t … Continue reading →
It’s no surprise that the promos for upcoming MBC drama Angry Mom have been so Kim Hee Sun centric this far. She’s the titular angry mom in the drama title, but the more apt description ought to be protective empowered mom. I don’t mind that she takes matters into her owns when she finds out kids have been bullying her … Continue reading →
Another week and another two episodes of Hyde, Jekyll, Me. I actually lost count of where the drama was currently at and needed to be reminded that the next episode coming up is 13. The written and video previews are out, along with two sets of drama stills. One shows a conversation scene between Seo Jin and Ha Na, a development … Continue reading →
The annual Forbes magazine ranking of the top 40 Korean celebrities has just been released, fresh out of the oven and piping hot for perusal. As always, try not to get too worked up if your favorite oppa/unni or bias didn’t make the top 40 this year, it’s just one ranking albeit a very influential one that has a lot of … Continue reading →
After writing about Park Min Young post her Healer resurgence, it’s only fitting to devote a post to her smexy leading man Ji Chang Wook. He’s in the pages of the March edition of In Style Korea looking still in character as Seo Jung Hoo, which will likely gets Healer fans in a tizzy again. I got so many emails asking … Continue reading →
The massive roll KBS is on doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon, which is always good for drama addicts out there to have more shows to look forward to. It appears the network is paying very close attention to the ratings bloodbath going on with Blood tanking on Mon-Tues and plans to do something specific to address it. … Continue reading →
I swear the KBS production teams are keeping my hands busy the last two days typing out one drama casting after another. I’d complain if the dramas were casting all talentless hacks or untried newbies but the casting of upcoming KBS Friday night variety drama Producer hits every single one of my happy nodes so it more than makes up for … Continue reading →
KBS is making all the waves the last few days as it went on a veritable drama casting spree. First there was Song Joong Ki signed up nice and early as the leading man for the fall Wed-Thurs drama Descendants of the Sun, followed by whiplash inducing back-and-forth to line up potential foursome Cha Tae Hyun, Gong Hyo Jin, Kim … Continue reading →
This drama line up just went from woah to WOAH in the span of half a day. I said before that the casting for upcoming KBS Friday night drama Producer appears to be going at lightning speed, which goes to show how much attention KBS is lavishing on this project as well as how much clout screenwriter Park Ji Eun … Continue reading →
This is comforting drama casting news which helps to alleviate some of the earlier disappointment. Upcoming SBS Wed-Thurs drama Sensory Couple, based on the webtoon The Girl Who Sees Smells, starts filming next week with leads Yoochun and Shin Se Kyung confirmed. Today comes the addition of rising child actress Kim So Hyun playing the critical supporting role of the … Continue reading →
The casting of upcoming KBS Friday night drama Producer is not only shaping up to look really promising, it’s also casting at the speed of light it seems. A day after Kim Soo Hyun was revealed to have received the script and offer for Producer, penned by the scriptwriter from his last drama You From Another Star, the other male … Continue reading →
I always go into Kim Eun Sook-penned dramas with optimism. She’s written my favorite K-drama of all time so how can I begrudge her a few misses here and there. Now that the male lead is basically confirmed (99.9% at least) for her upcoming drama Descendants of the Sun, the optimism level has skyrocketed for me and is parked somewhere … Continue reading →
