With my Yoo Seung Ho safely out of the army and back in my virtual drama land embrace, that leaves only Song Joong Ki left that I’m waiting to return triumphant from his military service stint. He’s still got four more months left so I haven’t been dialing up my anticipation too much yet but he was back in the … Continue reading →
I haven’t seen much of Kim Woo Bin lately, that happens when he hasn’t done a K-drama last year in 2014 and I typically watch less K-movies. He was busy filming movies all of 2014 and the first of the movies to premiere was Criminal Designer (The Con Artists/The Technicians) over Christmas break. It was billed as a Thieves-esque caper … Continue reading →
The tides of public affection can change on a dime and usually it’s when something disappoints for whatever reason. The super popular current We Got Married onscreen pairing of Kim So Eun and Song Jae Rim recently passed their 100 days show married milestone, with the couple going to Turkey for their fake married honeymoon. The couple was a fan … Continue reading →
A modern new C-drama classic gets a fresh coat of Western paint and the result is unending hilarity that makes me cackle even as I’m thisclose to falling into blissful slumber. The currently hot topic C-drama The Empress of China is merely the latest and boobiest challenger for the throne still occupied by the early 2012 hit The Legend of … Continue reading →
The King of Mandopop is off the market and for once there is unanimous congratulations from all corners including his massive fandom. The general feeling is relief he finally settled down and fervent prayers this marriage is one and done. Jay Chou, true to his promise to his dear momma to get married before he turned 36 years old, tied … Continue reading →
There’s an unspoken but accepted truth in the Hana Yori Dango fandom that one actor among the F4 in any drama adaptation won’t nearly be as popular as the other three. Maybe it’s the laws of celebrity that says no way the drama gods give that much blessing to one cast. Kim Joon of Boys Before Flowers has turned out to … Continue reading →
Filming has started on the C-drama adaptation of the popular time-traveling K-drama from a few years ago Queen In Hyun’s Man. Starring pretty young things Zheng Shuang and Jing Bo Ran, the drama has a different title since it’s now based on Chinese history and there ain’t no Queen In Hyun in any Chinese dynasty. The C-drama is titled In … Continue reading →
I’ve heard the sentiment echoed that Pinocchio wasn’t nearly as riveting as I Hear Your Voice because the two dramas were similar in theme and style and even more so with the same leading man in Lee Jong Seok. I didn’t watch IHYV so Pinocchio was perfect as a standalone drama for me, but I’m starting to hear and see … Continue reading →
I say the more the merrier when it comes to anything Yoo Seung Ho. Sorry for not being less obvious that I lurve him to pieces. His comeback first pictorial spread for Grazia magazine dropped a few teaser pics last week which has now been followed by a few more delicious pictures to tantalize fans dying for his full blown … Continue reading →
With Pinocchio put to bed it feels like nestling in for the night after a particularly productive day. The cast and crew must feel even more satisfied and proud of delivering such a meaningful drama made with love. I’ve long since passed my drama shipping days other than out of nostalgia or whimsy but the OTP of Lee Jong Seok … Continue reading →
This is basically a Lee Bo Young swoon post. There isn’t enough of these types of posts in the drama blogsphere since it’s usually the hottie guys who get all the drooling attention. I think Lee Bo Young’s career breakthrough the last two years have been much deserved, she’s put in years of toiling hard work in poor roles and … Continue reading →
Leave it to C-netizens to find amusement in the oddest of coincidences. Just as C-ent has been dealing with Cleavage-gate the last three weeks centering around the ample bosoms of The Empress of China and her cohorts, K-ent gets it’s own heaving bosom story to cover this week as if not wanting to be left out of the tittering going … Continue reading →
The final episode of Pinocchio is as perfect as it gets. Time was spent on all the main characters to wrap up their threads while reaching satisfying resolutions on the central conflicts. I couldn’t have asked for a better finale, except perhaps more fan service and that’s something I can never get enough of when it comes from a drama … Continue reading →
