I’ve seen quite a few MVs floating around various video sharing sites that aim to collect and showcase the best K-drama kisses of 2010. After watching quite a few, I must say that 2010 was exceedingly fanservicy with the kissing and the cute couples. Of my favorite K-drama couples of all-time, quite a few actually come from 2010 dramas. Below … Continue reading →
The preview for episode 18 of Secret Garden is out. It’s short, but I think it confirms everyone’s suspicions about what happened when Joo Won drove into the storm with Ra Im in his convertible. Can I just say – Yoon Sang Hyun is shining so much in SG, and the preview gives him a chance to tap into his … Continue reading →
Whether you love Secret Garden, are indifferent about it, or flat out despise it (I have close drama friends who fall into each of these categories), this is one drama that pushes people’s opinion buttons. With only four episodes left, Kim Eun Sook has a chance to end on a high note, both ratings-wise and story-wise.
Continue reading →Lord have mercy on my soul. It’s getting ripped out. Binnie singing? A song as soulfully romantic as “That Man”? I might as well just curl up and weep, especially seeing the utter and total pain train coming a mile away in Secret Garden. The patented Kim Eun Sook “you want angst, imma give you angst” giant hammer of (temporary) … Continue reading →
I have been very lean on providing any Secret Garden updates during the holidays, whether its my thoughts or previews. The drama is doing gangbusters in ratings, and is quite a hot topic of discussion, whether about certain scenes or subject matter.
Continue reading →2010 heralded the dawn of a new decade. Where’d the last decade go? I could have sworn that I took a brief nap after college, only to wake up with an entire family and a boatload of new responsibilities. On a more drama-centric note, 2010 also marked my transition from a passive drama watcher into an active drama blogger. I wouldn’t be here but … Continue reading →
[Random Announcement: Lots of folks are asking about acronyms I use, please refer to the Glossary page tabbed above for the complete list, which I update regularly.] I think I’m going to drop Secret Garden. I don’t mean drop it as in never watch it again. But I find myself nitpicking more than enjoying, even when there is so very … Continue reading →
Timing really is everything. Even though Secret Garden and Mary Stayed Out All Night premiered the same week, in different and non-competing time slots, one arrived a few days before the other. Rather like calling dibs on my attention span, M3 parked itself in my conscious, occupying the space just vacated by Playful Kiss, and Secret Garden become the also-ran … Continue reading →
Calling all Damo Paeins (are you there, Ms. thunderbolt?). Do you have your Depends on? Are you sitting down? Do you have a weak consitution? Actually, if you are a Damo Paein – you have the opposite of a weak consitution, you are the strongest drama watcher out there. I salute you, since watching Damo made me so dehydrated by … Continue reading →
After three straight episodes of body-switch antics, Secret Garden is finally heading into the meat of the drama, IMO. It’s weird – eight episodes has lapsed, and I still don’t quite grasp the story. Perhaps its the mad genius of Kim Eun Sook, or a total lack of focus on her part. I have to say that SG may be … Continue reading →
The written previews for Secret Garden really are the pits. It’s poorly written, and rather pointless since it gives nothing meaningful away. But since we’re all addicted and anything is better than nothing at all, I bring you the collective written previews for episodes 7 and 8, which will be airing this weekend. Let me preface by saying that so … Continue reading →
Isn’t that picture above fan-freaking gorgeous? It’s the cover for the upcoming Secret Garden OST, to be released shortly. One word: wow. I’ve read the written preview for episode 6 and it confirms that Joo Won and Ra Im have swapped bodies, and spend the episode confused and dealing with the situation. I don’t have time to translate, but it’s … Continue reading →
You know something is really really popular when people go to extreme measures to get spoilers and updates. A long preview for episode 5 of Secret Garden has just materialized – but it’s a video that was shot by someone aiming a camera at a camera phone playing the long trailer. It’s pretty low-quality stuff. But for someone dying for … Continue reading →
