It’s rare that a currently airing small screen couple will simultaneously have a big screen collaboration released at the same time, which is what is happening later this month when Ariel Lin and Bolin Chen’s movie Lovesick comes out. The three leads, Ariel, Bolin, and Li Yi Feng, are hitting multiple cities in China for fan meetings and media events … Continue reading →
Vic Zhou is currently in Beijing filming the period movie Saving General Yang, but his completed modern C-movie Sleepless Fashion (formerly known as Live with Fashion) is about to premiere later this month. Co-starring Vivian Hsu and Alan Tam, the movie is about an idealistic fashion magazine editor played by Zai Zai who incurs the wrath of his boss played by Alan … Continue reading →

None of the male cast were on hand, but Director Zhao Lin Shan was able to finally confirm and introduce his leading lady to the media. For whatever reason, Yoon Eun Hye will not be participating in this … Continue reading →
The Busan International Film Festival opened yesterday and the Korean stars descended on the coastal city to promote their upcoming movies and dazzle in some glitz and glamour. The opening night film is Always (Only You), the romance movie starring So Ji Sub as a boxer and Han Hyo Joo as the nearly-blind girl he falls in love with. Everyone walked … Continue reading →
I really love Kim Sun Ah, but even that love couldn’t get me into Scent of a Woman. However, the project she did before SoaW was the movie Fighting Spirit with Kim Joo Hyuk, which held it’s press premiere this weekend prior to wide release in Korea next week. Kim Joo Hyuk plays an immature and ill-tempered baseball player with … Continue reading →
The tickets for the premiere of Always at the Busan International Film Festival sold out in 7 seconds, which is a new record there. Clearly the interest is sky high in the upcoming melo-romance movie starring So Ji Sub and Han Hyo Joo. The production released a second teaser that continues to roll in the awesome. In it, So Ji Sub … Continue reading →
Just days after I posted the two short trailers for Lovesick, the upcoming movie with Ariel Lin, Bolin Chen, and Li Yi Feng, the production released the official MV set to the title song “Not Anymore” sung by Kong Ling Qi. It’s a great ballad that just hits the spot, though I wish my Feng Feng, a singer first and … Continue reading →
Ariel Lin is currently starring in the beyond lovely TW-drama In Time With You, but her body of work is about to expand by one more come next month. For the last 10 days since it’s premiere in Taiwan on September 9th, 2011, a movie has been smashing box-office records, gaining critical acclaim, and dominating headlines and watercooler conversations. I can’t even have a party without someone mentioning Seediq Bale (pronounced See-dick bal-lay). Costing a whopping $24 million US dollars to shoot (the biggest budget for any Taiwanese movie … Continue reading →
This movie? So lovely. This official trailer? So damn spoilery! I mean it, so don’t watch unless you want a major plot twist revealed before we’re even at the final few seconds. But I don’t care, everything about Han Hyo Joo and So Ji Sub’s chemistry rubs me the right way. Plus the last shot of So Ji Sub’s face … Continue reading →
Alrighty. I think it’s the lucky actress who has the talent to toggle between projects in film and in television in the Korean entertainment industry, and Lee Min Jung has just that perfect blend. While I worry she might get pegged as a Meg Ryan-esque rom-com film actress, what with doing Cyrano Dating Agency followed now by another rom-com Wonderful Radio. … Continue reading →
How can two people be so beautiful together? It’s ironic that Han Hyo Joo plays a blind girl in her upcoming movie Always with So Ji Sub, because watching the video first look with them almost blinded me with their collective beauty. His rugged reserved gruffness. Her delicate sparkling presence. Always has been selected to open the prestigious BIFF (Busan International Film … Continue reading →
