“It’s okay, baby!” Those are the first words we hear from Lee Min Ho’s lips in his turn as the exiled high school rich boy in Heirs or The Inheritors (Those Who Wear the Crown, Withstand the Weight: The Heirs). The drama released the first ever video teaser since it’s three weeks away from its premiere, despite it feeling like … Continue reading →
I firmly believe in the adage “just because you can, doesn’t necessarily mean you should.” And sometimes jokes just write themselves because people do things they can but common sense should tell them not do. Filming is fully underway for the latest drama adaptation of the famed wuxia novel Return of the Condor Heroes, and it’s been nearly a month … Continue reading →
Holy mother of something or another. *speechless* This degree of male gorgeousness should come with a warning sign, or probably is just plain illegal. After five long years away from the entertainment world, a combination of his time off due to the loss of his younger brother followed by two years of military service and then another year or just … Continue reading →
Heading into the final stretch of episodes, Two Weeks keeps the pace up and the worry high. As if Tae San being in trouble from all sides isn’t enough, today’s episode throws In Hye and Soo Jin’s well-being into his already overflowing bag of worries. Episode 13 resolved the smart cliff hanger at the end of 12 nicely, with both … Continue reading →
I have a dozen coats of varying lengths, cuts, and materials hanging in a Winter closet just waiting for the day I decide to move to a cold locale. Or maybe when I go crazy one morning and decide to pluck one out and wear it where I live, maybe paired with a pair of classic Uggs and transform into … Continue reading →
I get really wary whenever I hear an idol-turned-actor has been cast with an actress I like, because invariably when I critique said actor’s character and/or performance, there will be a fraction of his fans that will take it poorly. All I said in Missing You was that I couldn’t stand Yoochun‘s character, and his performance was nothing to write … Continue reading →
I worry that covering the high profile Heirs or The Inheritors is going to be cause for my blood pressure going up, what with everyone having an opinion about the leads, the chemistry (or lack thereof), the concept, you name it, someone has strong feelings about it. Unless you are living under a nice cozy rock for the last 6 … Continue reading →
The upcoming Fall Wed-Thurs time slot will be interesting what with the latest reshuffling going on. Next week will see the premiere of the KBS revenge melodrama Secret with Ji Sung, Hwang Jung Eum, Bae Soo Bin, and Lee Da Hee. The following week comes Medical Top Team on MBC with Kwon Sang Woo, Jung Ryeo Won, Joo Ji Hoon, … Continue reading →
I hope Kim Hyun Joong fans won’t get their knickers all in a twist with this news, and Jang Geun Seok fans shouldn’t get overly excited either. This might be a win-win situation for both guys or a potential lose-lose. It all depends on trying to parse through official announcements and the real behind the scenes story. Kim Hyun Joong … Continue reading →
Looks like it’s going to be official stills overload for the foreseeable future as nearly half a dozen highly anticipated dramas gears up for a Fall premiere. Heirs is of course generating lots of buzz, what with the overflowing young cast fill with an actor or actress for everyone plus its written by buzzy screenwriter Kim Eun Seok. I’m keeping … Continue reading →
When you mash together two huge fandoms, will sparks fly or will both sides combust? I don’t know, but I do know that if you mash together two young hot Korean actors there is bound to be something interesting happening. While the cast of Heirs or The Inheritors (Those Who Wear the Crown, Withstand the Weight: The Heirs) films in … Continue reading →
Screw you, drama! Seriously, screw you and your nonsensical police procedural plot and your oppa-dangling fan exploitation. I kept my expectations dialed way way way down for the final two episodes of Who Are You, and even then episode 15 of WAY managed to both suck and blow. Well…..without a written or video preview for episode 16 who knows if … Continue reading →
Jung So Min just switched agencies to SM C&C (culture and contents) and already the company has produced glossy new head shots of her plastered all over its website. Good for her, to have her new agency really make an effort to package her into Jung So Min v.2. It’s been 3 years since her debut and she’s no longer … Continue reading →
