If I had a time machine there would be so many things I would do with it. Heh heh heh, I’ll save that for my journal of evil, but I will share that one of the things I would do is prevent Lee Min Ho from starring in Personal Taste. My problems with that drama are legion, but the one … Continue reading →
These are the most unexpected set of blazing guns in my K-drama watching journey. Kim Jae Won is neither fresh out of the army nor known for being a beastly man, so to see him unveil some serious biceps in the latest stills from his weekend drama Scandal: That Very Shocking and Immoral Incident left my jaw somewhere under my … Continue reading →
I’m surprised the full character descriptions for Goddess of Fire available at DC and Baidu never got translated into English considering its got a sprawling cast so surely a dedicated fan group of one of the leads could do the task. For some reason I was super excited about GoF but somehow missed reading the character descriptions before the drama aired. … Continue reading →
Make no bones about it, this was one sloooooooow as molasses episode of Monstar. To have it be the penultimate episode makes it so frustrating as a viewer hoping for the best sort of uptick in tension and a convergence of all the story lines to set up for the finale next week. It’s like watching an exciting game only … Continue reading →
I’m both happy for and a little surprised at seeing the ascendance to television ratings queen status of Lee Bo Young. I seriously thought her star was headed towards perpetual weekend drama status, which is not a diss because weekend dramas bring in some crazy high ratings and if the ahjummas love her then she’s CF gold which is where … Continue reading →
Can someone at KBS puhlease get their act together and lock down a cast for this drama ASAP. The Blade and Petal (truly astonishingly amazing) has just finished airing episode 8 and at a scheduled 20 episodes is slated to wrap up September 5th. Which means its follow up drama Secret is airing September 12th, which is less than 6 … Continue reading →
I seriously can’t get enough of Seol Chan’s shocked-jealous face in Monstar. Yong Jun Hyung is doing such a fantastic job of selling emotionally stunted but growing like a snail Seol Chan. I feel like Monstar has lost a bit of its sizzle heading towards the final stretch. Not a lot, just a tiny bit, and its all due to … Continue reading →
Of all the idol actors or actresses that can’t act worth a lick, I have a personal soft spot for Kim Hyun Joong. Perhaps his turn as Baek Seung Jo in Playful Kiss endeared him to me so much so that his stiffness sorta bounces off me like teflon. I do wish he would take a second lead role and perhaps … Continue reading →
I might be jinxing the Hong Sisters by admitting that I’m pre-loving The Master’s Sun already on stills and previews alone, but I doubt my little fingers-crossed affection will really be the critical element as to whether this drama will suck or rock. Frankly I expect all their dramas to start off rocking and end up sucking, but even then … Continue reading →
Two Weeks continues to look up and up as its gets nearer to its premiere in…..two weeks! Heh, I just had to do that. If I Hear Your Voice didn’t get a 2-episode extension, then The Master’s Sun would be airing next week and get a one week head start on Two Weeks, but now both new dramas premiere on … Continue reading →
Okay, finally this drama catches my interest. The upcoming obligatory medical K-drama, and I say obligatory because I guarantee there will be at least one medical K-drama a year if not more, Top Medical Team is starting to get all its ducks (cast) in a row now that its predecessor drama Two Weeks is premiering soon. Leading man Kwon Sang … Continue reading →
It’s hard to do these days but consider me impressed with rising young K-actress Lee Yoo Bi. She first popped up on my radar in Nice Guy (The Innocent Man) with a capable cast led by Song Joong Ki and Moon Chae Won, but her acting debut was actually in the hilariously terrible sitcom Vampire Idol. Not exactly a title … Continue reading →
The cast of the upcoming cable network tvN Mon-Tues drama Who Are You attended a press conferences yesterday as the drama gears up for its premiere next week. This was an off-week for tvN since Cyrano Dating Agency finished airing last week, but a breather is never a bad thing. The tone of the two dramas couldn’t be anymore different … Continue reading →
