Oh hubba hubba hubba. Lee Jun Ki tweeted a picture of him wearing a tux holding a flute of champagne and I felt my brain temporarily suspend all activity as my eyeballs took over to drink up the perfection of his visage in modern garb. His tweet accompanying the picture asked if we were missing the modern day version of … Continue reading →
Come and get it! The first official stills are out of Yoon Eun Hye and Yoochun from Missing You and they are looking fantastic individually and together. I pray to the drama gods this is the drama that flips the switch for me with respect to Yoochun, because I hate to watch it for Eun Hye and be lukewarm about … Continue reading →
Kyaaaaaaaaaaa! Roy Qiu and Megan Lai finally did it! They finally do a promotion for Miss Rose where they look like they are having chemistry with each other. This is such a funny running joke to me, because onscreen they are OTP forever and forever with chemistry aplenty, but off screen Megan goofs around all the time with second male … Continue reading →
Let me start off by saying tsundere heroines are not my typical preference in my mangas. Never have been, never will be. That’s one reason I didn’t like Hana Yori Dango and its ilk. I find the hate-not/hate-like-love progression rather exhausting in a manga medium, whereas I enjoy it at times in dramas because the bickering has the 3D sizzle … Continue reading →
I don’t know if the Taiwanese sense of humor that its stars have with the media and the fans translates elsewhere, because many times the stars will say something totally outrageous and far-fetched because they know it won’t be taken seriously. This week Sonia Sui was in Busan for the film festival along with a contingent of Taiwanese filmmakers and … Continue reading →
Can we all just pretend those glorious BTS pictures of Song Joong Ki and Moon Chae Won when they were filming in Aomori are Maru and Eun Gi after they have vanquished Jae Hee and toasting each other before going off to made gorgeous EunMa babies? I get giddy just knowing we’re only halfway done with Nice Guy and there … Continue reading →
Happy birthday, Roy! Can I just say that my honey is ON FIRE in episode 12 of Miss Rose. In fact, this may be one of the best episodes yet. But then the preview for episode 13 shows me this show is nowhere near peaking and even more awesomeness is around the corner. Can I time travel to next Sunday? … Continue reading →
I’m not sure what it is about dramas populated by actors with large fan bases, but the propensity to project and read between the lines is magnified to the point where if people express an opinion that opinion could be distorted and turn into a runaway train. I could care less what others think, but here are my opinions on … Continue reading →
It’s weird how addicting Nice Guy has turned out to be. Despite my pre-release excitement over watching a bona fide melodrama, part of me worried that this thing would sink like a ton of bricks by being painfully plodding and trying to pull tricks out of a hat. Now that NG is halfway done with its run, the drama has … Continue reading →
Annie Chen is making a niche for herself as the queen of the daily dramas, with her Inborn Pair quite the surprise hit last year and next month she’s coming back to SETTV via the daily drama Love, Now co-starring George Hu. I thought she had great chemistry with her IP co-star Chris Wang, but I’m betting based on the … Continue reading →
Park Bo Young and Song Joong Ki are seriously soooooo cute together I’m thisclose to shipping them in real life. Sorry Moon Chae Won, I love your Eun Gi, but in terms of off screen chemistry these two get my vote. These two have been doing the interview circuit recently for the movie and I love their playful banter, especially … Continue reading →
Might as well string me up and beat me, the pain will at least be short lived, whereas Missing You will haunt me for 24-episodes equal to 12 weeks equal to 3 months. That’s a long time to suffer the pain of seeing two of my favorite actors in the same drama where they are not the OTP. Seriously? If … Continue reading →
I’m going to have to steel myself for some noble idiocy coming up in Miss Rose, but I’m hoping its short-lived and works well to push Si Yi to confront her growing feelings for Cheng Kuan and figure out what that means. I think our intrepid Miss Rose is herself at a stage where many issues are converging and she … Continue reading →
