Who is the cutest fluffiest OT3 on the planet? Why – that title unequivocally belongs to the glorious trio of youngsters populating the delightful and heartwarmingly funny world of I Live in Cheongdamdong. This cable sitcom has been my constant companion for the last month as I drift off to sleep every night watching an episode or two on my … Continue reading →
Fuji TV has generously released pictures of the cast and crew of Rich Man, Poor Woman gathering for pictures and posing with their completion of filming flower bouquets. I don’t normally watch my J-doramas live, since many of my faves are from years ago before it was readily available to watch online or follow along with the filming. That’s why … Continue reading →
Take it with a grain of salt, but its looking like it really could be true. I’ve heard these rumors for some months that since co-starring in Ring Ring Bell, Janine Chang and Peter Ho might actually have something going on in real life. They got along fantastically during filming and onscreen their chemistry was mindblowingly good. Despite loving Janine with … Continue reading →
KBS has got a new weekend drama premiering which is totally flying under the radar. I was initially interested in My Daughter So Young because the leads were Kim Ji Hoon and Choi Jung Won, but both dropped it for unclear reasons and in stepped Lee Bo Young and Park Hae Jin to play the fraternal twins headlining this family … Continue reading →
For whatever reason (Roy? Messy love triangles?) I’m completely obsessed about Miss Rose. Probably way more than any of the other dramas I’m watching right now. Not necessarily that I love it more, only that its the one driving me nuts waiting for the story to really kick into gear and all the fur to start flying. Now that ex-boyfriend … Continue reading →
When I get frustrated with the one step forward two steps back emotional tango between Hyuga and Makoto in Rich Man, Poor Woman, I try to remind myself that a person changing their fundamental behavioral tendencies takes time through baby steps. I’ve been so proud watching both leads do exactly that during the course of ten episodes of this dorama, … Continue reading →
Ji Sung and Lee Bo Young are one of the longest running star couples in K-ent. They have been dating since they filmed Save the Last Dance for Me in 2005, though in a twist of casting Lee Bo Young played the psycho second female lead who clung onto Ji Sung’s male lead like super glue. They’ve never denied or … Continue reading →
Yeah, that’s the very look on my face when I think about/watch Rich Man, Poor Woman. All good things must come to an end, and with the release of the final long preview for RMPW (complete with the words “LAST EPISODE” flashing before my eyes) I know it’s time to gather up my scattered thoughts and affection for this drama … Continue reading →
Leave it to Lee Kyung Hee to take tired sacrifice and betrayal tropes and infuse new life into it. She’s lucky because her brilliant PD in Nice Guy (The Innocent Man) truly elevates her material, but story wise NG is also quickly finding its own unique footing. Unlike the synopsis indicated, there is really more than meets the eye here … Continue reading →
Hee. Hee hee hee hee. HOMG laughing my head off forever at the cuteness here. In the army all enlisted men are equal, but clearly some are still prettier than others. The current crop of enlisted Korean actors include some of my favorites like Kim Jae Wook and Im Joo Hwan, so it was to my absolute delight to see … Continue reading →
The upcoming Fall 2012 J-dorama season is about to commence now that the Summer doramas have either wrapped up or will be wrapping up soon. I scanned the list and there isn’t a single renzoku renai on the radar, so that means I’m going for actors to watch as opposed to story that interests me. After a truly boring Winter … Continue reading →
It was a close call, but ultimately I’ve decided to stop recapping Arang and the Magistrate and switch to its newest competition No Such Things as Nice Guys (aka Nice Guy or The Innocent Man). Episode 9 of Arang was nice, but still not much forward momentum in any of the major plot threads that I’m ready to table it … Continue reading →
Jung Kyung Ho happily completed his military service last week and a few days after he returned to civilian life, the media caught him at the airport already rocking the trying-to-be-surreptitious celebrity travel style. The sunglasses and cap clearly can’t hide this cutie pie from the eagle-eyed photogs. I wonder where he’s off to? Seeing Jung Kyung Ho with his … Continue reading →
