Haha, no, Ji Hyun Woo isn’t trying to kill himself after delivering a spectacular public confession of love, though who knew a grand gesture straight out of a K-drama could be taken so many ways. Ji Hyun Woo candidly confessed that he liked Yoo In Na at the fan viewing party for the final episode of Queen In Hyun’s Man, … Continue reading →
Okay, as much as we all love/want/are gaga over Kyung Jae-Da Ran, that’s pretty much an impossible end game for Big. Imagine our Kyung Joon skipping over twelve years of his life and living the rest of it as a thirty year old. Yeah, so not ideal. And even if Yoon Jae is a cheating mc-cheaterson (which I don’t believe … Continue reading →
Two years, 2144 posts, and over 20 million views later, the Playground celebrates its second anniversary today by doing nothing whatsoever. In the US, a second anniversary is marked by cotton, so I’m going to whip out my comfy t-shirt and wrap my laptop in it for the night. I have to confess there are times I want to stop writing … Continue reading →
This might be my last recap for I Do I Do since I’m liking it more as a watch than writing about it. This has turned out to be a story without the traditional K-drama hook, when initially I thought it was a story solely about the pregnancy between an older successful woman and a younger professionally-challenged man. IDID doesn’t … Continue reading →
OMG whut was that all about!?! Imma going to pretend the completely nonsensical (even within the mythology of the drama) episode 16 of Queen In Hyun’s Man didn’t exist. Episode 15 was all sorts of heartbreaking, but if the payoff is the stupidity of 16, then imma going to pretend both episodes pfft evaporated into thin air. This drama was … Continue reading →
I just love Yoon Eun Hye’s recent hair color, this lovely red that is bright and burnished at the same time. She’s in this month’s High Cut Magazine modeling the Cartier Juste un Clou line that she’s been tapped by the company to showcase (tee hee, I just got one in rose gold and I’m so entranced by it, such … Continue reading →
Queen In Hyun’s Man treats time-travel like I’ve seen in almost every drama or movie, as something magical with some ramifications but none of the gritty sci-fi contemplated consequences. That’s all good and fine, but we’re left with very little to angst over other than hoping the two of them can end up in the same time zone forever. All … Continue reading →
I continue to like I Do I Do, and it continues to be tres mellow and leaves a lingering aftertaste. It stills feels more like a J-dorama than a K-drama, but that’s good in my opinion because I’m in the mood for a slow-paced rom-com that takes time to develop its characters, which is what is happening here. Dr. Mommy … Continue reading →
With all the commotion that came with Big‘s premiere this week, what with it being Gong Yoo‘s return to TV-land plus a Hong Sisters drama, it would still be impossible to ignore the imminent end to Queen In Hyun’s Man. I really understood the fan fervor for this drama, and I surely did love it, but perhaps just not that … Continue reading →
I wonder if I got with a Big heatstroke some time between last night and tonight, otherwise I simply have no explanation why I’m this taken with this drama. I’m probably one of only a handful of the non-Gong Yoo fangirls in existence (everyone’s weird fixation on his body leaves me amused), and Lee Min Jung I adore for her … Continue reading →
It’s official. I love Big. Completely and totally fallen for it. The passable directing and wonky editing is still making the drama rather herky jerky at times, but a good use of music smoothes over the rough edges. What’s amazing is seeing how the Hong Sisters tone down their penchant for situational comedy to drive character development and allows the … Continue reading →
There are stills floating around that show us I Do I Do clearly filmed the drunken night between Ji An and Tae Kang. I wonder if it’s been held back for a reason, or it was filmed but ultimately not shown for whatever reason. I prefer actually seeing it after we watch Ji An and Tae Kang fall for each … Continue reading →
Big is sorta gnawing away at me tonight. I was at a baseball game but my mind stayed with the drama. Hasn’t happened in awhile so early on, even The King 2 Hearts took a few episodes to crawl inside my skin. I kept thinking that there is more to Big than meets the eye, and the awkward episode 1 … Continue reading →
