Looks like the brief bad publicity for C-actor Yang Yang last summer during the airing of Fireworks of My Heart is over and he’s back feeling on top again. He has big budget period C-drama The Immortal Ascension filmed last year and can air anytime but probably late this year, and now he’s confirmed for another big budget period C-drama … Continue reading →
The post Queen of Tears popularity rise for female lead Kim Ji Won is no joke and she experienced it in a wild way this week upon her return to South Korea from attending a brand event for Bulgari in Singapore. She was legit shocked when she walked out the airport door and saw the throngs of fans and media … Continue reading →

Looks like the plan to steer clear of juggernaut Joy of Life 2 is about a two week span from its premiere date of May 16th. I’m seeing first Fox Spirit Matchmaker: Red Moon Pact scheduled for end of May release and now the Yu Zheng produced period drama The Double also slotting its airing for the end of the … Continue reading →
This week thank god the fans of K-actress Kim Hye Yoon have calmed down after two weeks of being upset that she wasn’t being promoted by her own agency as much as her costar Byun Woo Seok was being promoted by his agency after their drama Lovely Runner became a buzzy hit. In April the two actually had an Elle … Continue reading →
The post Queen of Tears popularity surge is here and I’m waiting to see how all the leads in the cast take advantage of it. Kim Ji Won has a fan meeting lined up but first this week she jetted to Singapore for a Bulgari event. I’m not terribly picky with my drama posters especially the early stage ones that much effort hasn’t been made on it yet. But these for the kick off filming of period wuxia C-drama Calming Waves is just sooooo bad it’s embarrassing for the cast. The drama stars Wang Xing Yue and Xiang Han Zhi, with both having other finished period … Continue reading →

A new romance period C-drama is being cast 怎敌她千娇百媚 which is called How to Defeat the Refined Her but the literal title translates to How to Resist Her Thousand Charms and Hundred Flirtations. Basically the female lead is a total femme fatale/goddess … Continue reading →

The the next phase for C-movie Nothing Can’t be Undone by a Hotpot was faster than expected. The movie premiered on May 1st in China and was pulled a week later after embarrassingly low ticket sales. The production said it would re-release at a more optimal time, and that turned out to be direct to streaming. The movie was sold … Continue reading →
Everyone keeps asking when Lost You Forever part 2 will air and insiders say it will be July, which makes it a full year since the first half aired. It’s frustrating to see such momentum broken but if the second half is as good as the first then it won’t be a problem to bring the viewers back and hopefully … Continue reading →
It’s totally a black mirror version of fact meets fiction with Byun Woo Seok‘s breakout in Lovely Runner. I watched it all with Park Bo Gum‘s male lead character in Record of Youth‘s narrative so it’s even cuter that it’s happened to Byun Woo Seok in RL since in the drama his character ended up getting the short end of … Continue reading →
