This might be the dual female lead pairing for the ages and coming at such a prime time for both. K-ent has reported that Song Hye Kyo and Han So Hee are confirmed for their next K-drama titled The Price of Confession. Song Hye Kyo will be an ordinary art teacher whose life is upended by a murder case and … Continue reading →
There’s two big news with K-actor Ji Chang Wook this week and both are good. First off he went to Hong Kong to attend the 2023 Asian Film Awards where he took home the Next Generation Award in part for his movie roles such as for Fabricated City. He’s definitely doing equal work in movies and dramas and probably wants … Continue reading →
It’s a switcheroo in K-drama casting today with back-to-back news about K-actor Kim Sun Ho. Late last year he was reportedly making a drama return in 2023 with a sageuk romance drama from the novel written by the writer of Love in the Moonlight. I did wonder if making his first drama since his 2021 personal life scandal being a … Continue reading →
In C-ent the scandals are either catastrophic career ending ones or more blips with more negative buzz than actual ramifications. C-actor Chen Fei Yu recently went through the latter after pictures were released of him sleeping in bed taken by clearly a bed mate after intimacy and it appears that a twenty-something unmarried man having sex is not a cancellable … Continue reading →
The Wounded Queen got her revenge on The Glory and with it she has gotten all the glory for sure. The Netflix drama released part 2 last Friday and in this week has rocketed to #1 worldwide for the streaming platform. The drama released fun and focused new BTS filming stills this week and it’s so charming to see the … Continue reading →
A promising drama can absolutely round up an incredible supporting cast, it needn’t just be the leads that actors and actresses only care to play. Also in such dramas the supporting roles have plenty of fodder to shine and perchance even steal the show. IU and Park Bo Gum are confirmed for an upcoming period drama which still doesn’t have … Continue reading →
I’m not sure if other bigger male leads passed on this drama but Park Eun Bin will be working with Chae Jong Hyeob as her costar with Cha Hak Yeon as the supporting lead for Diva of the Deserted Island. But this casting isn’t that odd considering that screenwriter Park Hye Ryun in some of her earlier dramas like Dream … Continue reading →
Hahaha, okay this is a cute update on K-actor Lee Jong Seok and honestly I’m a super fangirl but for some reason the speed round of news these days I legit forgot he’s dating IU despite that being mega news when it broke in January. Anyways, Lee Jong Seok was at a brand store event this week and K-netizens saw … Continue reading →
So The Legend of Chong Zi is not a good C-drama, even better actors and actresses than the ones starring in it will have a hard time making it watchable. But it wouldn’t be as big of a hot mess as it is. The story is being called a bargain bin version of The Journey of Flower, with the teacher … Continue reading →
I think Jang Hyuk and Jang Nara are trying for a new record, not just their third drama reunion as OTP but also doing one drama together each new decade. They started with Successful Story of a Bright Girl in the aughts, then Fated to Love You in the 2010s, and now it’s as a married spy couple who don’t … Continue reading →
Oh this is going to be a FUN not to mention nail biting year at the 2023 Baeksang Arts Awards coming soon. There are plenty of potential nominees in both the movie and drama categories but the one competition K-ent is most excited over is Best Actress in Television with the thought that it’s a two-way race between Park Eun … Continue reading →
Dang, this girl keeps digging her grave even deeper and it continues to be all her own doing. Kim Sae Ron recently posted on her SNS a picture of her working at a coffee shop to seemingly show how her former movie star life has fallen to scraping by with a part time job after her drunk driving scandal. Except … Continue reading →
The irony is so high in this situation and it’s still unfolding so unclear what the ultimate resolution will be. Netflix revenge drama The Glory has brought South Korea’s dark underbelly of school era bullying to the forefront in a stark and gripping way and PD Ahn Gil Ho‘s deft and creative directing is one reason the drama is both … Continue reading →
