Oh god, my little Stars and Moon heart may not be ready for this and definitely not ready to say goodbye so unexpectedly. On August 17th the production of C-drama Love Like the Galaxy (part 1: The Stars Are Brilliant, part 2: The Moon Rises Over the Ocean) did a mic drop and announced that the big finale of the … Continue reading →
The pictures above are not the costume looks for the two leads in the drama, it’s just to show their looks when put together from previous historical dramas. Allen Ren and Song Zu Er are filming in Hendian starting this week for their 2023 fantasy drama The Demon Hunter’s Romance, Chinese title 無憂渡 which translates to A Worry Free Passage … Continue reading →
Let this man soak up his moment in the limelight, and with it gift us viewers with many many good looking stills as he heads into military service in the near future. K-actor Kang Tae Oh will be in the September 2022 editions of three major publications in GQ Korea, Elle Korea, and Star1 magazine. Clearly those magazines have good … Continue reading →
The contract dating/engagement/cohabition/marriage has been a major K-drama rom-com trope for a good two decades but this upcoming drama puts it directly as the center of a job. Park Min Young for Love in Contract (Korean title MonWedFriTuesThursSat) plays a contract marriage professional who gets paid by men to pretend date them so they can live their ideal lives. Her … Continue reading →
Sorry chingus but I’ve been in a galaxy far far away from Joseon Korea era haha so this new Mon-Tues drama Poong the Joseon Psychiatrist is one I have not watched yet and haven’t been paying attention to. I do love Kim Min Jae, he keeps improving with each drama and has such an endearing charismatic air onscreen. His last … Continue reading →
It takes a village to raise a child so the saying goes, and similarly it takes an fully well-written story to deliver a true drama powerhouse. I’ve enjoyed and even loved dramas on the strength of the OTP alone but that rush of feeling evaporates after the drama is done, like consuming cotton candy. The dramas that stick with me … Continue reading →
This is a reunion I’ve wanted on the small screen but not a true reunion since the two leads didn’t play leads opposite each other in their previous drama together. I’m talking about Lee Seung Gi and Lee Se Young going from bickering and got each other’s back pals in Hwayugi (A Korean Odyssey) to now playing opposite personality lawyers … Continue reading →
I feel like Zhao Li Ying keeps getting period dramas with really bland English titles. The Story of Minglan, The Legend of Fei, The Story of Happiness, and now The Legend of Shen Li. The Chinese titles are all way cooler and for The Legend of Shen Li it’s called Yu Feng Xing (與鳳行 Accompanying the Phoenix) as she’s a … Continue reading →
This summer felt like travel went from 0 to 100 as the two years of COVID stay at home restrictions and decisions lifted in full, for good and for bad, and suddenly everyone and their great-grandmothers are traveling. Perhaps if it was during peak stay at home era airing this new show In the Soop: Friendcation there might be higher … Continue reading →
So the order of the GIFs and pictures are in the ranking of how frequently K-netizens discuss wanting these two to work together. I can’t disagree with most dream pairings especially when the perfectly curated GIF delivers all the feels in mere seconds of a stitched together scene. To date, the most common wish is for Hyun Bin and Jeon … Continue reading →
Can’t believe the summer is quickly coming to a close so it’s time to look at the early fall K-dramas on the horizon. tvN Fri-Sat is currently airing I Have Not Done My Best Yet which aired earlier on streaming already so it’s basically a place holder for the time slot. Once its done the mystery drama Blind will arrive … Continue reading →
This is a fight as old as time, but I do appreciate the levity of throwing in more than just lead and second lead choices. Netflix asked its viewers of four of its streamed K-dramas if you would choose between A or B if you are the lead character. In Extraordinary Attorney Woo it’s between cutie patootie Jun Ho and … Continue reading →
Haha, maybe the graphic designer on the movie Confidential Assignment 2: International Cooperation heard all the complaints about how low budget and dumb the official movie posters were. So for the individual movie character posters at least each character looks less stiff albeit three dudes are literally doing the exact same pose. It’s the gun drawn one of course, with … Continue reading →
