I’m sorry, give me a minute here. Okay, maybe I need an entire hour, because this is just too much gorgeous hotness to take in. And coming from the biggest Taek fan on the planet, fangirling Jung Hwan this hard must be how that ship felt the entirety of Answer Me 1988. It’s time for Ryu Jun Yeol to be … Continue reading →
I’m glad SBS Friday night drama Penthouse season 3 is still a hit and that I’ve never been inclined to watch it, because that means all I consume are the brilliant/absurd nuggets from each new episode as viewers watch and rail at each successively more crazy development. This week Logan Lee is resurrected after being BLOWN UP in a car … Continue reading →
This link will be an interesting pairing, not one I ever thought about, but sounds intriguing once it’s a possibility now. Yeo Jin Gu has been offered the male lead in romance fantasy K-drama Link, which is a drama I’ve been keeping an eye on when late last year it was in talks with Kim Sun Ho as the lead. … Continue reading →
The behind-the-scenes drama with the next installment in the KBS School series continues and this time it’s after filming has begun. Second male lead Kim Young Dae has left School 2021, solely on his side with his agency announcing that it was due to disagreement with the production as things were not the way it was originally agreed to. The … Continue reading →
I’m not going to surmise over why K-actress Choo Ja Hyun married C-actor/composer Yu Xiaoguang but he absolutely has a punch-able face. Like, even before this week’s scandal went down he just has a face that screams douchebag. C-ent is reporting that Yu Xiaoguang cheated on his wife after video footage of him getting into a van and then a … Continue reading →
Daaaaaang, I know some old school era K-drama viewers are gonna go wild with this particular reunion news. K-ent is reporting that Sung Hoon will be the male lead in the upcoming K-drama remake of Jane the Virgin, which would mean a reunion with already cast female lead Im Soo Hyang. The two hit the big leagues together in the … Continue reading →
We’re in the middle of July but seeing these new Park Shin Hye stills released from her agency SALT Entertainment feels cool and breezy to me. The ones with her hair messy and up with very strong cheek blush makeup are B-stills from the recent magazine pictorial and I actually like these better. The ones with the blue background and … Continue reading →
A cool new drama and casting news to get excited about recently dropped. TVing is preparing a K-drama titled Monstrous that is being described like the Korean X-files. To which I say, everyone first go watch Joseon X-files. But I digress, this drama has signed on talented actor Kwak Dong Yeon and Koo Kyu Hwan as the male leads and … Continue reading →
I would call this an even trade and I’m just glad the casting got switched up early and finalized quickly. Upcoming jTBC drama Just One Person is replacing one person for another person this week. Male lead Park Sung Hoon, who signed up for this drama three months ago after the Joseon Exorcist cancellation fiasco, has stepped down reportedly due … Continue reading →
The acting trajectory for Kim Ji Won has felt really roller coaster-ish to me, from breakouts to small hits to unexpected misses to arthouse fare. She’s definitely all over the place and I think ultimately in a good way, no bad press or weird gossip and she just gives it her all whenever I see her onscreen. Her last drama … Continue reading →
Having a track record of success does make one keep expecting it so cable network jTBC looks like it made two missteps that just happened to be airing at the same time but overall is still very strong. K-ent is reporting that the network started the year strong with ratings and critical acclaim in dramas Beyond Evil, Law School, and … Continue reading →
You know a drama is popular with viewers not just on the ratings alone but also on the amount of discussion in the media. The TV Chosun drama Marriage Lyrics and Divorce Music is setting new ratings records for the smaller cable network and viewers are praising the family dynamics BUT not crazy (like resurrecting the dead over and over) … Continue reading →
There’s exciting movement in the K-actress world and it’s a two-fer this week. Actresses Kim Tae Ri and Jeon Yeo Bin have made an agency change together, leaving their current agency J,wide Company and signing with a newly formed agency called Management mmm which was founded by their existing manager. J, wide released a statement explaining that the actresses contracts … Continue reading →
