Another drama ended this week, and from the buzz (or lack thereoff), it appears jTBC Wed-Thurs romance Run On elicited audience interaction as light in touch as the slice-of-life it was presenting. This one I watched two episodes of and enjoyed it well enough and felt like I would like it more if I marathoned it since there wasn’t anything … Continue reading →
I won’t look a gift horse in the mouth though it’s really surprising to see tvN drop two previews for Vincenzo packed full of footage and different ones at that. It’s nearly 2 minutes worth of visuals and action with plenty for everyone. Song Joong Ki is the mafia lawyer turned South Korean lawless lawyer, and sorry if I’m borrowing … Continue reading →
A new casting news is wrapping up the week from K-ent, that singer-actor Rain is considering a comeback in the small screen. He’s been offered the male lead in Ghost Doctor, which I wonder if it’s the sister series to Demon Judge lol. If Rain accepts it will be his first drama in 2 years since Welcome 2 Life (You … Continue reading →
The cast is set for second half of 2021 tvN legal beagle drama Devilish Judge (Demon Judge), which I feel like has been in the works for a long time but it’s finally got a time slot so that’s reassuring. The leads are veteran Ji Sung and Kim Min Jung, reuniting more than ten years later from their excellent medical … Continue reading →
Upcoming jTBC drama Beyond Evil (Monster) wouldn’t know subtlety if it crashed into it. It’s intentionally selected a promotional approach of making leads Shin Ha Kyun as a beat cop and Yeo Jin Gu as an educated high level detective into polar opposites. I guess the point is that one of them is the baddie and we won’t know because … Continue reading →
High school dramas and especially ones adapted from manhwa/webtoon is usually a niche fan base so ratings are never expected to be winners. But sometimes it gets super low ratings and that’s a bummer. tvN Wed-Thurs drama True Beauty based on the webtoon Goddess Has Descended finished up its run this week as a solid success story. From the premiere … Continue reading →
The new preview for tvN thriller detective mystery Mouse looks heck dark, like plenty of serial killing in the dark rainy night type of dark. Starring Lee Seung Gi, Lee Hee Joon, Park Joo Hyun, and Kyung Soo Jin, the drama posits the possibility that a serial killer gene can be detected in utero and what to do with that … Continue reading →
KBS comedy Hello? It’s Me! is one of my anticipated February drama premieres thanks to a diverse cast, interesting concept, and lingering good will from last year’s turn young again and learn life appreciation lessons drama 18 Again. I also love love love Lee Re, one of the shining stars of the older child actor crowd and her getting this … Continue reading →
I keep getting Lawless Lawyer vibes from the promos for Vincenzo, and both being from tvN and featured out-of-the-box lawyers perhaps that’s the reason. The promo visuals aren’t copying anything but the intense savvy male lead played by Song Joong Ki and the cool capable female lead by Jeon Yeo Bin just reminds me of that awesome OTP dynamic from … Continue reading →
I’m banking jTBC Wed-Thurs drama Run On for later to binge, I watched the first two episodes and liked it enough but it wasn’t immediate crack addiction for me plus it seems like the perfect drama to mosey through on a quiet weekend. All I hope for is the drama not falling apart in the end but there is one … Continue reading →

The drama is around the NIS targeted organized crime, with Namgong Min playing a top NIS agent. Now K-ent is reporting that actress Park Ha Sun is in talks for the female lead, and while … Continue reading →
I not only want this movie to be good I really hope it does well. Too bad we won’t ever know what type of traditional box office it would have brought in but if it starts trending on Netflix that will be good news enough. Sci-fi Korean movie Space Sweepers (Spaceship Victory) drops this weekend on Netflix worldwide, finally meeting … Continue reading →
