I’ve long thought the ridiculously low budget and slap stick period Chinese drama Go Princess Go was perfect for a K-drama version and could be done so much better. I don’t think the upcoming sageuk drama Queen Cheorin is announced and an official adaptation of GPG but it’s totally the same plot. Shin Hye Sun is confirmed to play the … Continue reading →
Sometimes my brain flashes back to oldies but goodies moments when watching k-dramas, and anytime I remember You’re Beautiful I get this jarring disconnect from UEE in that era and her now. I don’t have a feeling for her physical transformation from healthy and bootylicious to cheekbones that can slice cheese and incredibly long frame but she’s one of the … Continue reading →
I totally see the drama adaptation of webtoon Convenience Store Morning Star taking a more wholesome comedic approach to the source material. It’s especially evident with male lead Ji Chang Wook in SBS drama Backstreet Rookie who transforms into the sleep deprived but still hard working with a smile convenience store manager. He’s always choosing different roles and projects and … Continue reading →
Oooooohhhhhh, I love these posters! tvN drama It’s Okay to Not be Okay released a second batch of official posters today and it’s totally different than the earlier ones and way cool. It actually brings to mind Encounter (Boyfriend), not the posters for that drama but the opening sequence in each episode had fairytale illustrations that captured the mood and … Continue reading →
For a few years in the mid 2010 era Jang Geun Seok was more active outside of Korea most notably in Japan and Southeast Asia. Before his military enlistment he did two SBS dramas with The Royal Gambler and Switch: Change the World but for his long time acting fans it didn’t seem like his first job was his priority. … Continue reading →
A woman wearing wedding white ball gowns can’t all be going to the same wedding, unless I suppose it’s a Reverend Moon officiated one. But the funeral black can definitely be attending the same one funeral, and honestly the general blahness at this event it might as well be for someone as obligatory as such events. The 2020 Grand Bell … Continue reading →
Hats off to Crash Landing on You fans. Lol, it has to be that group which swept and crushed the competition on behalf of their favorite BinJin couple. Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin have been announced as the winners of the 2020 Popularity Male and Female Award at the upcoming Baeksang Awards ceremony this Friday. The award is 100% … Continue reading →
I like the bottom poster better for the sheer intensity but the top poster just makes my love addled heart pitter patter. tvN released two official drama posters for upcoming melodrama thriller Flower of Evil with Lee Jun Ki and Moon Chae Won, almost going overboard with the skinskip after their first go around in Criminal Minds was a straight … Continue reading →
The good – Lee Min Ho running like the wind on the set of The King: Eternal Monarch. He’s totally alive in a way that his performance is totally not in that drama. I miss this Lee Min Ho, he needs to play a tsundere character again with anger problems, maybe Gu Jun Pyo grown up with amnesia and he … Continue reading →
K-actor Lee Seung Gi must love the chase from his last drama Vagabond because he’s putting his action hat back on again for his next drama. He’s confirmed for the 2021 airing K-drama Mouse which discusses a world where DNA testing has isolated a psychopath gene and opens the question about whether a mother still wants to give birth to … Continue reading →
Lordy is it hot in here. Not raging inferno fire hot but muggy tropics in the late afternoon with the stagnant beach air wafting in kind of hot. The official posters for tvN drama It’s Okay to Not be Okay are totally OKAY with me, lol, it’s better than okay it’s really lovely and the gaze of the viewer feels … Continue reading →
I mean like, ewwwwww. So many levels of disgusting and awful and goodness it makes yet another reason to never leave the house. Hidden cameras have been a scourge in South Korea for many years now, mostly in women’s bathroom stalls toilet seats and also changing rooms. Normally I would say it’s just a fetish for a small sliver of … Continue reading →
The promos for tvN drama It’s Okay to Not be Okay are coming fast and furious as the series will take over the Sat-Sun time slot starting June 20th from When My Love Blooms. So far it’s been different than my initial expectations but that’s lead to my initial impressions being more curiosity for what the drama will deliver. The … Continue reading →
