I feel like it’s Heirs part deux, but this time male lead Lee Min Ho isn’t with Kim Woo Bin and instead getting another Bin similar male lead with Woo Do Hwan. Being second fiddle isn’t bad in the rare K-drama role, like Kim Woo Bin in Heirs and most recently Kim Jung Hyun in Crash Landing on You, so … Continue reading →
Dining together is a big part of many cultures South Korea included and watching K-dramas so many connections and scenes are set at meal times. The upcoming drama Shall We Have Dinner Together with Song Seung Heon and Seo Ji Hye takes two strangers and one random seating at the same table and builds a destined romance from the encounter. … Continue reading →
One of the reasons I’m so stoked for the upcoming SBS fantasy romance The King: Eternal Monarch is to hopefully see the redemption of Kim Go Eun. I LOVED Goblin but I really didn’t like character, and it was the sheer overwhelming love for the other three leads that helped overcome her naive wide-eyed blankness as a personality. She played … Continue reading →
I think the press conferences in South Korea remain held without reporters present and questions are done remotely but at least none have been cancelled. Next week is the premiere of tvN romance drama A Piece of Your Mind starring Jung Hae In and Chae Soo Bin and I’m loving that soft mint green backdrop at the press conference this week. … Continue reading →
Another Park is joining Itaewon Class and it’s a very high profile special appearance. Park Bo Gum will be making a cameo guest role in the final episode of jTBC drama Itaewon Class which airs this Saturday on March 21st. Park Bo Gum and male lead Park Seo Joon are two of the top young actors of the same generation … Continue reading →
It would have been great to get the main cast back, well at least those who aren’t gone or cancelled. K-movie Pirates 2 was the long planned sequel to the box office hit Pirates starring Son Ye Jin, Kim Nam Gil, and Yoo Hae Jin. Initially the leads were planned to return for the sequel but after many years the … Continue reading →
A new week is here but it feels more momentous than just a new week if you live in the US and sudden everything seems Defcon-1 in the span of a few weeks. Japan has been dealing with a low birth rate problem for two decades and a greying population but it looks like married J-stars Oguri Shun and Yamada Yu are doing their best to get the baby count up. The couple were revealed to be expecting their third child together, with Yu spotted in LA last week noticeably pregnant. Friends say … Continue reading →
I felt such a sense of deja vu when I saw the latest character posters and previews for upcoming tvN drama A Piece of Your Mind and it brought me back two decades in one glance. Male lead Jung Hae In totally gives of Bae Yong Joon in Winter Sonata vibes just by the outfits and aura, the melancholy plus … Continue reading →
It’s not everyday that supporting role characters get their spotlight moment and this time it’s four at once. The young actors playing the North Korean soldier squad to male lead Hyun Bin in tvN drama Crash Landing on You were stars on their own. It needed all four characters together at once because the different personalities and rock solid friendship … Continue reading →
K-actress Suzy dropped a truly forgettable performance in last year’s action drama Vagabond but one of the positives was her totally fly sunglasses. She’s a spokes model for Carin brand sunglasses for the last few years and either she just looks great in ANY sunglasses or the brand makes the best styles because every one she sported in Vagabond looked … Continue reading →
Perfect for the weekend or for being cooped up at home either in self-quarantine or laziness, the Netflix K-drama Kingdom season 2 has dropped with all 6-episodes at once. Woo hoo, talk about a feast to chow on, lol. It stars the original cast of Joo Ji Hoon, Bae Doo Na, and Ryu Seung Ryong, who all made it alive … Continue reading →
The current state of K-actress Yoon Eun Hye‘s acting career really is one of the odder developments in K-ent. Her top Hallyu actress status was unchallenged and untouched from Goong to Coffee Prince and many other dramas that got plenty of ratings and buzz. But since 2013’s Marry Him if You Dare which was just terribly written and she did … Continue reading →
