This drama setup actually sounds interesting in that K-drama fated and full of coincidences sort of way, and yet the casting just grinds it all to a near halt for me. The next KBS Mon-Tues drama premiering in early August will be Lovely Horribly, following Are You Human?. It’s described as a scary elements romance, with a top star played … Continue reading →
The summer is upon us and so starts the filming for upcoming fantasy romance with a light fairy touch that is Tale of Gyeryong Fairy (Gyeryong Goddess). Starring Moon Chae Won, Yoon Hyun Min, Seo Ji Hoon, and Goo Do Shim, the drama takes the legend of the fairy with the lost wings and adds a modern twist. Moon Chae … Continue reading →
I feel like the production of upcoming tvN Wed-Thurs drama Why Secretary Kim really knows the goldmine it has thanks to the casting. The overflow of cute promos featuring the pretty of female lead Park Min Young and the handsome of male lead Park Seo Joon is quite obvious but I’m not complaining. The drama premieres this week and even … Continue reading →
It’s so awkward to watch singer-actor Yoochun formerly of DBSK and JYJ resume his public events two years after a very messy and public accusation of rape and subsequent revelations of his salacious personal life. A requirement for star appeal is the public persona projects that fans like and that is impossible to maintain once the curtain falls to reveal … Continue reading →
It’s been a rough 2018 for K-actress Ha Ji Won but life goes on and I am so so happy to see her out and about at a brand event in Seoul this week looking absolutely drop dead gorgeous. She lost her younger brother actor Jeon Tae Soo earlier this year from depressed induced suicide and took a few months … Continue reading →
This is one remake that I have confidence will do justice to the original, if only because of the leading man attached. Filming has started on the C-drama remake of Misaeng, itself a popular Korean novel which was adapted into an even more popular K-drama starring Im Shi Wan and Lee Sung Min as the male leads. The C-version male … Continue reading →
The Hallyu superstar that is Song Hye Kyo was already bright presence at the airport arriving in Hong Kong, she’s added some hair extension and two different outfits for the subsequent Omega watch event. She went for a white shirt black skirt combo for the store visit, and later changed into a black short A-line dress to meet the press, … Continue reading →
This is one hilarious morphing drama and casting, and the genesis feels like a screenwriter can’t decide on an entire drama concept and we’re publicly witnessing rough drafts getting balled up and tossed aside. The SBS drama known as People of Incheon Airport, which was formerly called Fox Bride Star, is now back to being called Fox Bride Star. But … Continue reading →
I’m cautiously optimistic for upcoming OCN thriller drama Player, formerly called Hustle and then later Pan, and regardless of the earlier titles has confirmed the initially discussed leads Song Seung Heon and Krystal. The two leads will be playing members of a gang of four skilled at finding and extracting ill-gotten gains from criminals, i.e. stealing from the thieves. Directing … Continue reading →
Going to a couture fashion show means free models for the brand’s clothing and free publicity for the stars donning said threads. It’s a win-win except for when the clothes look awful and for TW actress-singer Rainie Yang at the Louis Vuitton resort and cruise collection fashion show in France this week it was a successful pairing. I loved Rainie’s … Continue reading →
Boy would I Iove a gorgeous blue bouquet in hand when I get off a flight, but then again it’s probably a welcome reserved for the likes of top star Song Hye Kyo who was welcomed with media intense arms when she arrived in Hong Kong this week. She’s traveled quietly overseas with husband Song Joong Ki and those airport … Continue reading →
Oh man, the J-dorama version of Good Doctor may be the third to arrive at the party but it’s just smashed the casting squee by pulling back the curtains on the roles outside of the casting of Dorama It Boy Yamazaki Kento as the male lead. Kento will be joined by Ueno Juri as the female lead and Fujiki Naohito … Continue reading →
I’m not sure young actor Yeo Jin Goo is getting all the right casting advice, but then again he’s still so young and so talented that doing whatever fun role he wants may not have lingering repercussions at this stage. K-ent is reporting that Yeo Jin Goo has signed on to be the robot in the upcoming K-adaptation of Japanese … Continue reading →
