The cameras be rolling over in Spain for the upcoming fantasy romance drama Memories of Alhambra, with a cool name and even better casting of leads Hyun Bin and Park Shin Hye. Cal them overrated or not suited for each other, I think both deserve their fame and work diligently to improve their craft while remaining accessible to fans with … Continue reading →
Well done, Kai! High end couture is naturally rife with super weird creations and confections more for the artistry than wearability. EXO’s main dancer Kai is definitely savvy to generating buzz because he picked at outfit for this week’s Gucci resort collection show in France that is guaranteed to elicit commentary. He’s wearing a Gucci oversized plaid suit with old … Continue reading →
Casting is complete and filming has started for the next MBC Mon-Tues drama on the slate, with the network going back to the tried-and-true medical genre its so fond of. Risky Romance (Life-and-Death Romance) will star Ji Hyun Woo and Lee Shi Young as a surgeon and endocrinologist, respectively, and will also reunite the two leads from 2010’s drama Birth … Continue reading →
Watching a C-drama requires taking some antacids and mentally prepping for endless cups of frustration. Even that doesn’t seem to be enough for those who watched recently aired romance Here to Heart, adapted from a novel so the story line should be all set but the drama nopes it ways into “dog blood” (i.e. makjang) territory anyways. Starring Hans Zhang … Continue reading →
The K-drama gods are readying to remake one of the classic J-doramas that cemented Kimutaku as not just a pretty face but can also act his pants off. And now the production has assured itself that acting from the Korean counterparts won’t be a problem as the leads are confirmed to be Seo In Guk and Jung So Min. Please … Continue reading →
It’s moments like this I really feel old, and I don’t mean geriatric but more like the acceptance of yet another generation has arrived to make its mark on the world. I’m not sure how the brain trust casting came up with this name but apparently K-actor Yoon Kyun Sang is considering joining Kim Yoo Jung for the webtoon adapted drama Clean with Passion for Now. I like Yoon Kyun Sang lots and maybe one day he should work with Kim Yoo Jung but right now it feels so weird and … Continue reading →
Whether you like Jung Hae In or not, and I am curious to see among the readers who likes him now, the young man has made it in terms of popularity and star branding. Filming has kicked off for the summer tvN drama Knowing Wife, which will air in early August after Why Secretary Kim so I’m glad it’s getting a healthy head start. Starring Ji Sung and Han Ji Min, the former can do no wrong for me while the latter rarely does anything right, yet I’m oddly optimistic this pairing will work … Continue reading →
Get ready Lee Seung Gi and Suzy versin 2.0, and judging from the character synopsis the production team could even pretend that the modern leads are picking up from where Gu Family Book ended. GFB is, of course, the fantasy sageuk drama that first gave the world Seung Gi-Suzy pairing and then subsequently proved that it should never happen again. … Continue reading →
After a one turn of the leading lady roulette it’s settled on a more familiar drama face to join So Ji Sub in his upcoming drama Terius Behind Me. K-actress Yoo In Na is stepping back into leading lady territory after Lee Yoo Young was first offered the role, toggling between first and second female lead in a string of … Continue reading →
It’s probably best to say nothing and do nothing if one is a K-ent celebrity, at least until it’s clear what the truth is. Perhaps that’s turning a blind eye but jumping the gun just to support the underdog or fight for the rights of those weaker may cause blowback as Suzy is experiencing this week. Youtuber Yang Ye Won … Continue reading →
