We’ve got a full cast peeps and it’s looking mighty fine, at least on the male leads side. Rain and Lee Dong Gun are teaming up once again more than a decade after Sang Doo, Let’s Go to School and also doing the double male lead drama casting that’s more and more popular lately. Rain plays a detective who pairs … Continue reading →
A great cast still needs at least a solid script and poor Lee Jun Ki has been foiled by successive bad writing for many dramas now. I’m optimistic for his upcoming tvN drama Lawless Lawyer by the screenwriter of Remember who also wrote the movie Confidential Assignment and was one of three writers in the movie The Attorney. Lawless Lawyer … Continue reading →
The wooing that must be going on behind the scenes is sure to be intense. News broke last week that the K-drama known as Fox Star Bride was being changed by its screenwriter to another drama she was writing called People of Incheon Airport. The news was conveyed to Park Shin Hye who was in talks for the leading lady … Continue reading →
It’s 2018 but feels like many hideous fashion moments through the decades made it’s incongruous return this week via the 2018 Seoul Fashion Shows. Normally stylish Gong Hyo Jin attended two shows and she was the least horribly decked out among many of her fellow star attendees, and the outfit above is just dorky more than anything. Some fashion elements … Continue reading →
Two new poster sets came out over the weekend and it’s from competing dramas. First to arrive is SBS Wed-Thurs drama Switch (Change the World) premiering this week on March 28th, followed nearly a month later by KBS Wed-Thurs drama Suits remaking the US show. I’m interested in both dramas but Switch has a leg up to establish traction since … Continue reading →
I’m not exactly sold on this lead cast but the younger generations keep coming and it’s always best to keep an open mind. Summer KBS Wed-Thurs drama Your Housekeeper (Your Butler of Your House Helper) has confirmed the lead cast of K-actor Ha Suk Jin with idol-actress Bona of the group Cosmic Girls. It’s adapted from the same name webtoon … Continue reading →
Congrats to my first K-drama leading man love Jo Hyun Jae as he got married over the weekend to his golfer fiancee. The couple has dated for five years and announced only recently that they were tying the knot. Jo Hyun Jae made a press appearance before the ceremony to talk to the media gathered outside the ceremony venue but … Continue reading →
It’s nice to see Moon Chae Won in the news albeit in a CF setting. She doesn’t have any current movie or drama to promote and that’s usually a lull in getting updates but this month a skincare brand released two new promos with Moon Chae Won against a pretty pink and blue background. Her name gets bandied about a … Continue reading →
I’ve not watched the original British television show Mistresses and feel like that’s a good thing going into the K-drama remake. The title makes it sound makjang but the first teaser hinted at it and now the second teaser confirms this drama is more about the mystery and subtle danger. The titular Mistresses are the four actresses Han Ga In, … Continue reading →
I’m tempted to write nothing to accompany this post sharing the just released pictorial featuring K-actor Hyun Bin for the April 2018 edition of Arena Homme magazine. This is legit a picture speaks a thousand words, and eight pictures are that thousand words to infinity turning into gibberish for just how movie star leading man handsome Binnie continues to be as … Continue reading →
This isn’t the most spring-esque of pictorials but the color and vibrancy pop certainly adds a jolt of freshness much needed in the still gray and drab weather around. Suzy is in the pages of Cosmopolitan Korea April 2018 edition modeling what exactly I can’t tell. It’s either lipsticks or her outfit but neither seem overly emphasized, but it’s definitely … Continue reading →
Is it me or does it feel like a greater number than usual K-dramas are in production right now. Not complaining though too many of them are still in the legal/police/medical genre for me. Two that are not are part of the remake wave, namely OCN‘s K-version of British show Mistresses and MBN‘s remake of J-dorama Rich Man, Poor Woman. … Continue reading →
Another day another K-drama casting news, these things are flying left and right and I’m having trouble keeping which drama has which leads in discussion straight, especially when the same name gets attached to two projects. Actress Shin Hye Sun has been offered the lead for SBS summer Mon-Tues drama I’m 30 But 17, with Yang Se Jong concurrently offered … Continue reading →
