The cutie pies are back for Mystery Queen 2 and I can’t even this endearing description feels apt for two leads who are in their forties already. That’s because Choi Kang Hee and Kwon Sang Woo really are playing super charming characters, quirky in all the right ways especially their chemistry with each other. The latest stills from upcoming Mystery … Continue reading →
Just a week after posting about Park Shin Hye heading overseas for a CF event and musing about her acting plans for 2018, news is out that the actress has been offered the leading lady role in the upcoming drama penned by the screenwriter Kang Eun Kyung who most recently wrote the hit Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim. Kang Eun Kyung … Continue reading →
Wowsers does this movie have legs, or movie-going audience eyeballs judging from the box office. For the first time in two years a K-movie has entered the top 10 highest grossing Korean movies of all time list, at current standing the fantasy movie Along With the Gods has just over 13 million tickets sold placing it 4th on the list. … Continue reading →
It’s like the Bad News Bears have rolled in at the turn of the new year and 2018 is off to a shitty start in entertainment industries, and beyond as well. Another scandal has hit K-ent this week, news that started off with an unidentified Idol A who was allegedly admitted to graduate school through preferential treatment, having skipped the … Continue reading →
The bad news keeps on coming from K-drama production sets in the last month. There was the critical ladder fall accident in December of a crew member for Hwayugi who was hospitalized and suffered paralysis of the lower half. Now there is news that a 33 year old crew member on the set of pre-produced zombie sageuk drama Kingdom has … Continue reading →
It may be freezing cold in many areas of the Northern Hemisphere, including the chilly climes of South Korea, so seeing Song Ji Hyo in her new spring fashion pictorial for Sisley is a welcome warm breeze. Even nicer is how cute and quirky these outfits are, I like them all except for the weird fashion style to wear socks … Continue reading →
Looks like cable network jTBC is also jumping on the legal drama trend, as if there wasn’t a surfeit of such dramas over in the big three networks already. jTBC has picked up the K-drama adaptation of novel Miss Hammurabi chronicling the judicial legal profession. Sounds a lot like Nothing to Lose (Judge v. Judge) where all the leads are … Continue reading →
The current cheating scandal in C-ent with married Li Xiao Lu hooking up with rising young rapper PG One is really one for the books on how blatant it is. C-ent is firmly 100% on the side of cuckholded husband Jia Nai Liang, but then also rather pitying him for getting himself into this situation in the first place. Turns … Continue reading →
I may not like Gu Hye Sun as an actress but she’s showing legs in her artistic other endeavors which initially seemed like such a lark when she started dabbling year ago. This month Gu Hye Sun is holding another art exhibit in Seoul titled “mystery Pink” exploring innocence, fears, and dreams. She left large YG Entertainment after a decade … Continue reading →
The third weekend airing of tvN fantasy drama Hwayugi (A Korean Odyssey) went off without a hitch much like last weekend, and hopefully all the hiccups of the first weekend and surrounding mishaps are done with for good. Episodes 5 and 6 continued the ratings increase from last week, attaining 6.102% and 6.942% respectively. While tvN’s Wed-Thurs drama Wise Prison … Continue reading →
A nice wholesome bromance is a great sight for sore eyes this week, I’ve been dealing with a severe medical condition for ten days which has finally turned the corner for the better and it’s nice to be reminded of something positive. Mark Chao and Lin Geng Xin are two of China’s most well-known and popular male television leads, and … Continue reading →
Scandal is the flip coin of popularity and comes hand in hand in case folks argue that stars should expect privacy in their personal lives. C-ent has been gripped and atwitter over an adulterous cheating scandal that erupted on New Year’s Day. Married C-actress Li Xiao Lu was outed by a famous tabloid gossip column for being out the evening … Continue reading →
I’m still ambivalent about Suzy‘s win two weeks ago at the SBS 2018 Drama Awards for top actress and best couple with Lee Jong Seok for While You Were Sleeping. She was aptly humble in receiving the awards and I did think her performance was much better than I expected and hoped for. It didn’t help that her character was … Continue reading →
