The only dark thriller type drama I watched the entirety of last year was OCN‘s fantasy procedural Black. That was spurred by curiosity over whether Song Seung Heon improved and could hack it (he did!) but I stayed for the interesting and cool story mapped out by the screenwriter who also wrote God’s Gift: 14 Days. Interest in the leads … Continue reading →
I can’t imagine what the Jeon family is going through and wish so much this news turned out to be a misreport. The exact cause of death of Jeon Tae Soo after being found deceased in his apartment will likely not be revealed to the public at the behest of the family, who have asked for the media and netizens … Continue reading →
It’s with a heavy heavy heart I have to post about another sudden and much too young passing in K-ent. Actor Jeon Tae Soo has passed today on January 21, 2018, only 34 years old so this news is a shocking bomb to K-ent out of nowhere. He’s most famous for being top actress Ha Ji Won‘s younger brother, no … Continue reading →
Try as Ha Ji Won can but what’s not happening still isn’t happening with the short hair look she’s sported since mid-2017 for the MBC drama Hospital Ship. She had an even short cut for Secret Garden years ago and pulled it off them, it was fitting for her stunt woman character and had an edge to it. This one … Continue reading →
High fashion is in full swing last week in Hong Kong as tons of famous celebs descended for the Chanel exhibition Mademoiselle Prive. It was the event K-actress Park Shin Hye was headed to attend when she was snapped at the airport looking comfy and fly in an oversized winter white coat. At the event Park Shin Hye elected for … Continue reading →
This is a very comforting and bittersweet as a final bookend to recently passed Korean idol Jonghyun’s life and career. His agency SM Entertainment has announced that it will be releasing the already recorded solo tracks Jonghyun laid down before his passing a month ago on December 18, 2017. The mini-album is titled “Poet/Artist“, so fitting for this sensitive and … Continue reading →
Things went from bad to worse for the Jung Yong Hwa special admissions to graduate school scandal this week. A former FNC Entertainment employee has made public that Jung Yong Hwa applied to graduate school to delay his military service enlistment date, which was what everyone assumed since he has a thriving entertainment career that makes getting a graduate degree … Continue reading →
I’m still unable to formulate a reaction to the love line in fantasy tvN drama Hwayugi (A Korean Odyssey). For Lee Seung Gi‘s recent dramas it’s always been so clear to me how I felt – insane love for the OTP in A King 2 Hearts, the female lead Suzy‘s wooden acting ruining the romantic connection in Gu Family Book, … Continue reading →
Casting took a new turn in one week with upcoming MBC drama My Husband Oh Jak Doo. Initially it was reported the Han Sun Hwa and Lee Min Jung were in talks as the female leads and a week later it’s suddenly UEE who is confirmed for the main role. Joining her is a surprise with Kim Kang Woo as … Continue reading →
It’s because I love Kim Yoo Jung that I legit did a double take when I came across her recent pictures from the last two weeks. She looks noticeably different to me, and that’s in connection with a new hair color with red shot highlights. She’s arguably one of Korea’s most famous three K-drama child actresses alongside decade earlier originator … Continue reading →
I’ve heard good things of Jang Nara‘s last year K-drama Go Back Spouses and it’s one on my marathon when I have a chunk of free time. She’s so consistent these days with drama work, doing at least one a year and picking smartly in roles that suit her age, experience, and onscreen style. She’s now been offered the leading … Continue reading →
The speed at which this scandal broke, got confirmed, and now is getting addressed is one of the fastest such cycles yet. Idol-singer Jung Yong Hwa of CNBLUE was outed as the Idol A from the previous day news that was suspected of getting into a graduate program at Kyung Hee University thanks to preferential treatment since he didn’t even … Continue reading →
The last I watched a broadcast workplace drama with romance in it was the epic flaming fail of Marry Him if You Dare, and the only reason I even mention that when seeing new promos for upcoming KBS drama Radio Romance is all thanks to leading lady Kim So Hyun‘s curly hairstyle. It’s a carbon copy of Yoon Eun Hye‘s … Continue reading →
