This is the perfect example of fan service done right, and just up my star and drama love alley to boot. Singer-actress IU was in Changsa, China this weekend for her personal fan meeting, and during the event she surprised her attending fans by performing the hit ending theme song from the Chinese drama adaptation of Bu Bu Jing Xin. … Continue reading →
A teaming horde of zombies descended on Seoul this weekend as the highly anticpated summer popcorn flick Train to Busan premiered. Starring Gong Yoo as a workaholic dad taking his daughter to Busan, the movie follows his story along with married and expecting couple Ma Dong Seok and Jung Yumi as well as So Hee and Choi Woo Shik as … Continue reading →
This is one upcoming K-drama that is filming comparatively under the radar, which is a good thing if the end results blow everyone away because it hasn’t been overly hyped. SBS landed Incarnation of Jealousy after a tug of war with KBS and this will be the drama to take over Wed-Thurs from kidnapping thriller Wanted, and will be followed … Continue reading →
I have so many quibbles and qualms with currently airing SBS Mon-Tues drama Doctors, so much so I prefer not to write about it because it’ll just make me angrier once I start analyzing it further, and probably annoy those who like it. I can’t stop watching it though, because I love Park Shin Hye and Kim Rae Won in … Continue reading →
In a much appreciated visual reversal spread from the recent mangling of Kim So Hyun‘s entire aura, InStyle Korea has the rising teen actress in its pages modeling interesting and chic frocks suitable for her 16 year old age. Unlike the 1st Look pictorial and shellacked on the heavy sultry makeup and come hither poses, none of which is wrong … Continue reading →
I guess this is good news for Team Yoochun, as in his agency and fans who still wholly support him during the month long investigation for multiple allegations of sexual assault. The Gangnam police will not be charging him in any of the four counts of sexual assault because there is not enough evidence to prove it was forced or … Continue reading →
I loved a well-dressed man and in upcoming KBS weekend drama Laurel Tree Tailors audiences will be getting not one but four of them. Nicely plotted, KBS, I’m so tuning in. Starring Lee Dong Gun, Cha In Pyo, Jo Yoon Hee, Choi Won Young, Hyun Woo, and Ra Mi Ran, the drama centers around four tailors who through friendship and … Continue reading →
Cosmopolitan Korea certainly scored a coup on landing the cast of the K-version of Bu Bu Jing Xin, turning the Goryeo princes from Bobogyungsim: Ryeo (Scarlet Heart: Moon Lovers) back into their snappy modern incarnations. Leads Lee Jun Ki and IU take one cover as the time-crossed lovers, looking absolutely stylish and visually compatible. She does seem younger but that totally fits … Continue reading →
The summer of 2016 has officially become the summer of Korean male stars allegedly behaving badly, or the summer that the public learned about it. There are two more male actors involved in sexual assault allegations, joining Yoochun‘s scandalous  alleged rapes mess which has been going on for over a month now. Starting chronologically, currently serving in the army public … Continue reading →
I can’t believe I’m saying this since I’m super old school when it comes to my wuxia dramas and especially when it comes to drama adaptations of famous Louis Cha novels, but the upcoming 2016 version of Legend of the Condor Heroes actually looks pretty decent so far. I was completely taken aback when I came across news that LoCH … Continue reading →
Crossed paths or fated destiny is the name of the romantic entanglement in W: Two Worlds. But I have a feeling there is a whole lot more at stake in this drama than whether the OTP will end up together, and that’s always the recipe for a great romance grounded story because it’s the other pressing stuff that give the … Continue reading →
It gives a whole new meaning to star-studded when China’s top A-list actress is planning your wedding. That’s what’s happening to make the fast planning July 31st Bali wedding of Taiwanese actress-producer Ruby Lin and Taiwanese actor Wallace Huo‘s nuptials go off without a hitch. Ruby’s BFF Fan Bing Bing is reportedly throwing her design and organizational hat into the … Continue reading →
Filming continues onward for youth sageuk Moonlight Drawn by Clouds, as the summer days heat up the cast seems to be staying perky and animated. It’s hard enough to film in the muggy weather but to be in full sageuk garb strikes me as excessively burdensome. Luckily for the young cast of Moonlight, everyone seems to be getting along well … Continue reading →
