This is not quite the melodic mood I was expecting for the first OST to drop on KBS drama Uncontrollably Fond. The singer being Suzy was expected in bringing together her being the drama leading lady and member of idol group Miss A. Suzy lends her vocals to the track called “Ring My Bell” which is light and fluffy and truth to … Continue reading →
It’s good to see the typical K-drama OTP meet-then-fight scene take on a slightly twisty bent in upcoming MBC drama W: Two Worlds, and in slightly twisty I mean reality bending and likely mind blowing. New stills showing Han Hyo Joo freaking out upon meeting Lee Jong Seok is fantastic, showing the energetic side of her character and also laying … Continue reading →
It’s a mix bag of news for two members of Korean boy band CNBLUE, and likely overall a ding for the reputation of the involved members and/or the entire group as a whole. The Seoul authorities have been investigating Jung Yong Hwa for insider trading in the past week, and the investigation further expanded to include his fellow band member … Continue reading →
The male cast of Bu Bu Jing Xin, whether the C-drama version or now the K-drama adaptation, understandably gets the most buzz since it’s a particularly extravagant female fantasy to have so many flower boy princes buzzing around the female lead. The Korean version Bobogyungsim: Ryeo (Scarlet Heart: Ryeo) is prepping the post-production touches for an end of August premiere … Continue reading →
I don’t know if Uncontrollably Fond is being intentionally so spoiler-ish in its recent promos, or the story is so dense in narrative that these early reveals are merely the tip of the melodrama iceberg. I do have to thank the drama for visually cooling me down, releasing dead of winter new stills showing great coat laden leads Kim Woo … Continue reading →
Rocketing to super stardom, even from the perch of already attaining stardom, affects the star’s personal life like when the lottery jackpot crosses that magical threshold when suddenly even non-lotto players want to play for the hopes of winning. Before the star just had his or her fans and recognition, now the suddenly increase in fans makes it appear the … Continue reading →
The weather has heated all up and so has filming for upcoming SBS Wed-Thurs drama Incarnation of Jealousy. Starring Jo Jung Seok and Gong Hyo Jin, the drama got more news earlier on for the bidding war between SBS and KBS but now the coverage can focus on the quality cast and hopefully top notch story. Set in a television … Continue reading →
Looking good cutie pies! The first official still is out from upcoming KBS Mon-Tues romance sageuk drama Moonlight Drawn by Clouds, showcasing young leads Park Bo Gum and Kim Yoo Jung dressed in lovely period garb with even lovelier smiles reserved for each other. It’s basically the cross-dressing bit of Sungkyunkwan Scandal crossed with the royal in love with unsuitable … Continue reading →
Bad news is either contagious or Korean celebs are particularly misbehaving these days. CNBLUE lead singer Jung Yong Hwa is under police investigation for insider trading, which sounds and is less dire than Park Yoochun being accused of multiple counts of rape, but it’s still illegal and one of those shady financial dealings like tax evasion that makes the average … Continue reading →
This may be my favorite K-drama promo series since the beautifully rendered Queen In Hyun’s Man concept teaser where the two leads were mannequins in adjoining windows who then come to life escape the confines of their glass boxes and meet outside. It shouldn’t be a surprise I love this latest drama teaser series for W: Two Worlds since it … Continue reading →
There’s a two pronged aspect to the huge legal investigation currently enveloping singer-actor Park Yoochun. The material issue is that he is accused of raping four different women, and the sidebar issue is the tittering salacious detail that each allegation took place in a bathroom so Yoochun may have a bathroom fetish. The former, if proven, will put him in … Continue reading →
There’s a Chinese idiom “getting shot while lying down” which perfectly sums up the WTF just happened so-called scandal that just waylayed singer-actor Lee Seung Gi last week. He’s been quietly and ably serving in the army for his mandatory military service when out of nowhere was hit with salacious rumors about his personal life. A fast spreading gossip alleged … Continue reading →
July is right around and the corner and heading to the small screens is tvN supernatural drama Let’s Fight Ghost. The drama posters are out and seem more superhero-esque than horror, with that blue backlit background and power pose of the three leads Taecyeon, Kim So Hyun and Kwon Yul. The individual character posters adds the scary element of ghostly … Continue reading →
