I’m finding the low key casual vibe of the cast and filming of Cinderella and Four Knights exceedingly pleasant, like a warm casual breeze on a summery day. Everything about this drama so far is so under the radar and I love it that way, let it surprise me and audiences if it turns out to be awesomely addicting in … Continue reading →
I LOVE Park Shin Hye and Lee Jong Seok together onscreen, with their mutual last K-drama Pinocchio being one of my top faves in recent years. It’s present tense love since neither has done a K-drama since, but both are coming back with new works shortly, and right now Park Shin Hye has the head start in timing and incredible … Continue reading →
I’m already onboard with the OTP romance in KBS drama Uncontrollably Fond, all college days bickering and adult age unresolved tension. Sure, Kim Woo Bin seems like he’s playing Choi Young Do in Heirs a few notches grown up and a few levels below in wealth, the same in your face personality with a twinkle in his eye – that … Continue reading →
The Frankfurt destination wedding of Chinese stars Yuan Hong and Zhang Xin Yi turned out to be the star-studded affair as expected, not surprising since the happy couple are well liked in the industry and have tons of famous friends. The sweetest part was the reunion of Yuan Hong with his Tangren besties Hu Ge and Liu Shi Shi, the … Continue reading →
I’ve kidded about the glaring commonalities between upcoming sageuk Moonlight Drawn by Clouds and the mega hit 2012 drama The Moon Embraces the Sun, not the least of which is the word moon in its title. There’s a young prince, hidden identity female lead, jealous queen, and long suffering second male lead. The first look at the drama filming is … Continue reading →
It’s unusual to see a K-drama casting process so transparent, and in a way it’s like the drama casting version of The Bachelor. The search has been on since early May for Joo Won‘s leading lady and the titular My Sassy Girl for the K-drama remake of the popular early Hallyu classic movie starring Jeon Ji Hyun and Cha Tae … Continue reading →
I really really hope that mismatched casting doesn’t end up being the weak link that sinks this drama. The cast and crew of upcoming tvN Mon-Tues drama Let’s Fight Ghost gathered for the script reading last week as cameras are rolling with high expectations for the drama that will follow the popular and highly rated Again Oh Hae Young. The … Continue reading →
Huge huge congrats are in order as C-ent celebrates another happy ending for it’s huge pool of pretty marriage eligible stars. Yuan Hong and Zhang Xin Yi, dating since early last year, have tied the knot in a family and friends destination wedding in Frankfurt, Germany. The location is surprising but the wedding is not, the two have been inseparable … Continue reading →
Filming has commenced for the next SBS Wed-Thurs drama Wanted, taking over on June 22nd from Entertainer. Only one out of the three initial leads signed on, with Kim Hyun Joo and Jin Goo passing on their roles while Uhm Tae Woong makes his drama return after last year’s mildly buzzy Valid Love. Joining Uhm Tae Woong is Kim Ah … Continue reading →
It’s a two-fer this week with two new looks at the sprawling cast of Korean adaptation of Bu Bu Jing Xin (Startling with each Step). I loved seeing Nam Joo Hyuk in character as the renaissance Prince 13th, with good hair and a refined demeanor. Now comes Ji Soo playing the brash young 14th Prince, the role that launched C-actor … Continue reading →
Even expecting Park Shin Hye and Kim Rae Won to be a good drama lead coupling in upcoming SBS Mon-Tues drama Doctors, even I’m surprised at how compatible and complementary they look onscreen in the first official still of the pair. Kim Rae Won looks mature in a youthful way while Park Shin Hye is older enough now to be … Continue reading →
Wowsers, everything about this upcoming drama, potential casting, and price tag potential screams new records to be set. There’s new updates on the next drama from screenwriter Park Ji Eun, her of the You From Another Star, Producer, and Queen of Housewives fame. YFAS remains her biggest hit drama to date and she managed to reunite with one lead already in … Continue reading →
It’s A-list actress versus A-list actress in a direct match up now confirmed for late summer 2016. KBS has signed on Kim Ha Neul to headline On the Way to the Airport in its Wed-Thurs time slot, pairing her up with already confirmed Lee Sang Yoon. Choi Ji Woo ultimately passed on the role but Kim Ha Neul has such … Continue reading →
