For the holiday season I would pick a less macabre black comedy musical to stage than Sweeney Todd but from the first promo stills it definitely looks gorgeously presented and attired. Seoul will be host to a new production of the popular dark musical with three sets of rotating male and female leads. Shin Sung Rok, Lee Kyu Hyung, and Kang Pil Seok take turns at being the barber himself while Jeon Mi Do, Kim Ji Hyun, and Lina will change off being Mrs. Lovett the piemaker. This is the kind of powerhouse cast I would but multiple showings for if I was in Seoul during the run just to see how the performance impact changes with different leads, I went to Hamilton last week it was a totally different experience almost than the cast I saw five years ago and the songs hit differently.
