At this point I need some heartwarming drama to reaffirm my faith in life. Too bad Brilliant (The Light in Your Eyes) aired earlier this year because it was fan-freaking amazing and I wish I could savor it anew right when I’m dealing with real life and drama world life existential crises. Maybe upcoming MBC drama Welcome 2 Life will be that type of story, giving leading man Rain a do-over opportunity going from ambitious lawyer to one fighting for justice, and also a different chance with missed love played by Lim Ji Yeon. The stupid sounding title aside, the drama poster nicely postulates the two lives, with happier Rain and his friends and family on the bottom and upside down are the heartless lawyer contingent all facing the wrong side of what it means to live a meaningful life. I’ll give this drama a shot, also because it’s the last MBC drama in the time slot for the forseeable future.
