Combining two In A Good Way posts into one is probably a good idea before this place becomes Liu Chuan central. Okay, it kinda already is and who can blame me? He’s perfect, though that’s clearly giving him too much credit since he seems rather love dense. Well maybe not dense since it’s clear he knows he feels something for … Continue reading →
As if making up for a lackluster Fall K-drama season, this week has been a veritable buffet of great upcoming drama promotional materials. Leading the pack is Prime Minister and I airing on Mon-Tues on KBS which released a long preview that put a turbo boost on excitement and got everyone doing happy feet dances of anticipation. This might be a … Continue reading →
I think there are drama lovers out there who will do collective fist pumps and scream “FINALLY!!!” with me once I share this news. At this week’s 18th annual Asian Television Awards held in Singapore, my man Chris Wu nabbed the Best Actor in a Drama award for his exquisite performance in the 5-episode Taiwanese docu-drama Emerging Light. Oh. Hells. … Continue reading →
The awesome train of In A Good Way just keeps on rolling. This Friday’s episode 4 was so amazing I was rather speechless watching not wanting to miss a single detail. Nothing has arrived in the form of romance that is explicit but all the developing stuff is deliciously tingly. This drama is already snowballing in popularity and interest in … Continue reading →
I’m having a hard time believing that Prime Minister and I is premiering this coming Monday. That’s like two days away and part of my brain is still stuck in Fall thinking all these Fall dramas would be awesome. Maybe the crippling disappointment of Marry Him If You Dare truly does have lingering after effects such as I’m mentally time-travelling … Continue reading →
I’m pleasantly surprised by how good the cast of the upcoming period K-drama Age of Feeling (Inspiring Generation or Generation of Youth) looks in character. KBS trotted out the sprawling cast yesterday for a drama promotional press conference, which is about 5 weeks too early compared to normal pre-premiere drama press conference schedules. This early launch of promotion for this … Continue reading →
As wonderful as In A Good Way has been so far, it’s been only 3-episodes plus SETTV is notorious for screwing up its dramas. I’m not even talking about turkeys right out of the gate such as the recent Love Around, even dramas with electrifying starts like Fated to Love You putter to an ending. I would have actually preferred … Continue reading →
Excuse me while I fangirl. This drama has turned me into an utter and complete fangirl content on grinning like a loon when I watch it. The fact that its amazingly good is just icing on the cake. In A Good Way turns back the clock for me, plops me right back into the heady days of college when the … Continue reading →
This was the strangest episode of Heirs/The Inheritors to date. Compared to yesterday’s slow as molasses, filler-heavy flashback scenes, and emotional overkill with nothing substantive happening, this episode 18 was a veritable dump truck full of action. That’s good, right? I asked for that, right? Yeah I did, so I’m not going to complain about things happening finally other than … Continue reading →
Where is a real life Liu Chuan and can I have one of my own? He is so much love I can’t even, upping his sheer awesomeness in episode 2 above and beyond anything I could have predicted. For a drama that purports to be quite slice of life and has captured that vibe wonderfully, In A Good Way moves … Continue reading →
If ever there is a drama that can change my lackluster impression of Yoona, it’s going to be Prime Minister and I or nothing else. So far I am already thisclose to being madly in love with her character and performance based on the trailers alone. So if I end up unimpressed with her still after this drama, she’s and … Continue reading →
Yes, I must be micheoseo to re-watch any part of the last episode again. I confess that by the end of episode 16 of Marry Him If You Dare (Mirae’s Choice), I was literally holding onto my sanity by a thin thread. I finished my recap watching the episode once and put it away. Today I went back and re-watched the last … Continue reading →
The departure of Eun Sang at the end of episode 16 of Heirs/The Inheritors was nicely done. It happened off screen so that Tan was blindsided, and even the audience who figured it was going to happen with the Chairman’s ultimatum as well as Eun Sang’s farewell tour it still felt like a punch in the gut. Which makes episodes … Continue reading →
