The “When a Man (insert phrase)” amusement continues on as MBC releases more stills from its upcoming Wed-Thurs tortured love fest When a Man Loves starring Song Seung Heon, Shin Se Kyung, Yeon Woo Jin, and Chae Jung Ahn. This time, based on what is happened above – When a Man Takes a Temperature Check, clearly awkward things are bound … Continue reading →
I think TTV knew I was on the brink of a nervous breakdown if I couldn’t get some spoilers for the upcoming episode of King Flower (Substitute Princess), so it decided to be nice and today released a second video preview of episode 11. Watching it felt like an addict getting a shot straight into the blood vessel and I … Continue reading →
I haven’t written much about upcoming political rom-com All About My Love with Shin Ha Kyun and Lee Min Jung, other than to note that it went through three potential leading ladies (Im Soo Jung, Gong Hyo Jin, and Han Hye Jin) before securing this current cast. This is actually the Wed-Thurs drama I’m most interested in of the upcoming … Continue reading →
Now that we’ve seen the dazzling and toothy Jang Ok Jung with a resplendent Kim Tae Hee in a purple and black hanbok ensemble, its time to meet this latest and greatest incarnation of King Suking. King Sukjung’s given name was Yi Sun and he succeeded his father King Hyeongjung at the age of 16 when he ascended the throne. … Continue reading →
So pretty! Kim Tae Hee is so so pretty in her first glowing official still from the upcoming fusion sageuk Jang Ok Jung. Her veneers are a tad distracting for the time period, but she definitely gives off a lush womanly charm that befits her character – a noblewoman who gains the love of a King and becomes a powerful … Continue reading →
The Yun Zhong Ge bar is probably the most battle-worn place on Baidu right now. Every time I check in there is a new shit storm over something Yu Zheng, who holds the rights to adapt this novel to a drama, has pulled on the anxious fans of the original novel written by Tong Hua. Two weeks ago Yu Zheng … Continue reading →
Kim Nam Gil and Son Ye Jin are confirmed as the leads for upcoming revenge drama Shark, and there goes another notch in my little birdie says casting rumor mill. This pairing came out of left field when I heard about it three weeks ago, and it still hasn’t quite settled in with me yet. It’s not that I think … Continue reading →
Hell, Lee Seung Gi as Choi Kang Chi in Gu Family Book looks so cute I can’t even. That little pony-tail thingie does wonders for his usually cringe-worthy hair, and makes him simultaneously hotter yet more boyish. Don’t ask me how, it’s probably one of those mysteries of the universe. The second batch of official stills arrived from MBC today … Continue reading →
One caveat before I get started with my update on the increasingly awesome King Flower (also known as Substitute Princess) – Chris Wu is one of my TW-drama biases. I love him. Loved him since Autumn’s Concerto (and I’m still angry at Ady An or Liang Mu Cheng or whatever her name is), loved him in Zhong Wu Yen (blind or … Continue reading →
We all agree that PPV is out of control in dramas these days, but when the PPV is showing up already in official drama stills, then we’ve sort of reached the point of no return. One can guess how much a drama’s storyline is written around PPV, but trust me when I say its way more than we realize. When … Continue reading →
This is probably my last post on the Park Shi Hoo rape case in the near term until the police investigation wraps up, which the Western Police Station has stated that it will do in the next two months. Once it wraps up the investigation, its findings will be transferred to the Seoul prosecutor’s office and the prosecutor assigned to … Continue reading →
Soooooo……how should I put this……somewhere between zoning out and putting me to sleep was the first teaser for Jang Ok Jung. However much the first teaser for Gu Family Book was exciting and got me all interested, is however much the first teaser for JOJ failed epically to do the same. I get that the adults have just started filming … Continue reading →
Kyaaaaa~ I can’t take this much goodness all at once! MBC is not dithering around that’s for sure. Right after releasing the super adorable and squee-worthy official stills of Lee Seung Gi in Gu Family Book, the production up and dropped the first video teaser as well. It’s like getting an unexpected inheritance and then winning the lottery later in … Continue reading →
