Either Choi Kang Hee has been a very good girl and the drama gods are showering affection upon her, or else she’s collecting on some good karma from the past. A week after being confirmed for The Secret Lovers co-starring Joo Won, a decidedly versatile and mature onscreen young actor ten years younger than her, the other male lead for … Continue reading →
It’s been ages since I encountered a drama with a side character like Jae Hee’s disreputable bastard brother Jae Shik being such an entertaining scene stealer in Nice Guy. I’m sure its 99.9% due to fantastic movie actor Yang Ik Joon’s performance, but I love how he’s integrated into this drama as exposition, narrative device, and inadvertent cupid. He’s hilariously … Continue reading →
I can’t lie – I loved episode 15 of Nice Guy but it was due to an overwhelming amount of goodwill built up for this drama because this episode felt like a bit of air was let out of the tires. A merely good episode of NG is still better than most anything out there recently, so that’s not a … Continue reading →
If I had any lingering doubts that Missing You appears to be one giant weep fest, complete with screaming, physical violence, and lots of agonizing pain, the third teaser for the drama puts that to rest. Everyone better bring their tissues plus lots of patience and fortitude. To cap off the earlier sets of official stills released of Yoo Seung … Continue reading →
Two Mike He‘s for the price of one? I’ll take that…..only if the drama is actually any good. If its dreck like Love Keeps Going, I’ll toss both Mikes back into the ocean in a heartbeat. Since doing LKG last Spring, Mike has done a family-themed C-drama that is currently airing in China and getting solid ratings, but its dubbed … Continue reading →
As Missing You gears up for its premiere next week and its press conference this week, expect tons of stills and likely more teasers to whet our appetite. It’s actually rather late for a drama to be dropping official stills of its adult cast but this one has a rather long childhood portion so the adults aren’t showing up for … Continue reading →
Is it hot in herre or am I having Nelly moment a decade too late? The upcoming daily TW-drama Love, Now starring Annie Chen and George Hu premieres October 31st and doesn’t waste any time in teasing the fans with the juicy stuff. The cast held a press conference this weekend and the production released this latest batch of pictures … Continue reading →
Sang Yeob phone home, Sang Yeob phone home. You can call noona anytime, baby cheeks! I’m woefully negligent of Lee Sang Yeob’s sweet and effective turn as lawyer Park Joon Ha in Nice Guy, prolly because he’s so decent and doesn’t have a Noah’s Arc full of issues the way Maru, Eun Gi, Jae Hee, and even lawyer Ahn all … Continue reading →
I swear the wait between last week’s Nice Guy and any news about upcoming episodes felt interminable. I actually had a marvelous weekend, but it felt strangely long likely due to not having any inkling of what’s to come on my beloved NG. Will Eun Gi be able to run Tae San Group? Will Jae Hee try to seduce Maru … Continue reading →
Moon Geun Young might have to check into Over-worked Korean Actors Anonymous if this bit of casting news turns out to be true (Joo Won has a permanent bed at that joint from what I gather). She’s currently filming the SBS weekend drama Cheongdamdong Alice co-starring Park Shi Hoo, Kim Ji Seok, and So Yi Hyun which will premiere December … Continue reading →
What is Missing You trying to do with my baby boy? Is the drama trying to make me love him even more, because that won’t be necessary. I love him enough as is even though I preferred his goat best friend to him in Arang and the Magistrate. The first official stills have just been released of Yoo Seung Ho playing … Continue reading →
This is such a precious pairing I hope the drama gods make it happen one day. Park Shin Hye and Lee Seung Gi hosted the K-pop Collection concert in Okinawa, Japan this past weekend, and I swear I almost got blinded by the combination sexy and cute. I don’t know how both actors pull it off, but they are simultaneously … Continue reading →
The full cast of That Winter, The Wind Blows has been finalized and the leads with the exception of the leading lady gathered this week for an initial script reading session. Song Hye Kyo is currently in China finishing up her C-movie, but Jo In Sung, Kim Bum, and Jung Eun Ji sat down with writer Noh Hee Kyung and … Continue reading →
