What in the Furby’s name is this craziness! The delicious Kim Ji Hoon was released from military service last month and has been understandably laying low, clearly to plot the right vehicle for his onscreen return. The media has just confirmed that he’ll be starring in a weekend family drama called My Daughter So Young on KBS, taking over the … Continue reading →
I’m sorry, did anyone order a serving of cute? With a side order of adorable? That’s easy to whip up. A hard-to-find-but-I-found-it pictures of the two leads of Rich Man, Poor Woman in behind-the-scenes shots is coming right up! It’s a testament to Oguri Shun’s hotness that he manages to rock that weird haircut, but that’s probably because 99% of … Continue reading →
Perfection, thy name is Arang and the Magistrate – also known as “When Lee Jun Ki met Shin Mina and fireworks exploded.” If the long trailer for Faith was like a 7/10 in terms of generating excitement (for the story, not necessarily the splotchy acting I saw), then the long ten-minute trailer for Arang is like a 11/10 in knocking … Continue reading →
Wheeeee, what awesome news for me to head into the weekend with. Namoo Actors has confirmed to the media that Moon Geun Young has received the script for the upcoming SBS weekend drama Cheongdamdong Alice and is seriously considering the project. The agency revealed that she will likely return to acting after a nearly 2 year hiatus through a television … Continue reading →
The press conference for Faith looked all sorts of boring (from a sartorial standpoint since everyone was just okay but no hot messes), but goodness gracious the six-minute trailer that was released at the press conference certainly does not look boring in the slightest. This time-traveling/fantasy sageuk may still turn out to be all glam with no substance, but at … Continue reading →
When I watch Miss Rose, my mind keeps humming the oldie tune “Rose, Rose, I Love You” and then bopping up and down on my toes. It’s weird how the excitement can ratchet up several notches the moment the proverbial switch flips in drama watching. I love this feeling, because once I’m emotionally connected with the story, it triggers my … Continue reading →
I’m weeping tears of happiness here for the sheer awesome that will be Arang and the Magistrate. Isn’t the official poster fantastic? Kwang Oh Jung and Hwang Bora makes such awesome expressions of shock and fear that they manage to steal my gaze from the lovely Shin Mina and the glorious Lee Jun Ki. To be sure, I love how … Continue reading →
Ah To the Beautiful You, still looking cute there! We’re a week out from the scrum next Wednesday when Beautiful You premieres along with Arang and the Magistrate. To say the two dramas are as different from each other as night and day is an understatement, plus Gakistal is still around since it got an extension, which makes the ratings … Continue reading →
Episode 5 of Rich Man, Poor Woman was like a brief respite from all the action that was episode 4, and a much needed breather before the coming maelstrom that is episode 6 (based on the previews). I like this episode because it took Hyuga and Makoto out of Tokyo and interacting outside of Next Innovation. They are still working … Continue reading →
Yay, my favorite TW-director is back with a new drama! Director Winnie (Qu You Ning), after most recently helming the critically acclaimed ratings success In Time with You starring Ariel Lin and Bolin Chen, has been tapped to adapt popular modern C-novel Tiny Time 1.0 by writer Guo Jing Ming. The extremely good looking large cast assembled in Shanghai this … Continue reading →
Is anyone’s head spinning with how fast Asahina appears to have gone to the dark side? It’s like one moment he was all “lalala, I’m the bestest #2 ever in this world!” and then suddenly he’s all shifty and plotting Next Innovation domination. Simply because Sakaguchi called him a cowardly douchebag? I thought he would have known that already. Look, … Continue reading →
The Chinese characters initially chosen for the drama Faith was The Godlike Healer/The Great Healer (神醫), back when the drama was focusing on the time traveling doctor in question and had gone through two leading men in Lee Jun Ki and then Kang Ji Hwan. After a year hiatus and then resuming production with this new cast, the PD has … Continue reading →
Ariel Lin is one of those magnetic actresses that always leads to people shipping her in real life with her leading men. Most notably being Joe Cheng after they did It Started with a Kiss, or Hu Ge after they did Legend of the Condor Heroes 2008, or Mike He after Love Contract, and most recently with Bolin Chen after … Continue reading →
