I am human, not a super-hero Koala or even a Koala who has discovered the means to bend space and time. With that said, I really am “my heart wants but my body cannot do” (a Chinese proverb for desiring to do something that you are physically incapable of) with respect to Material Queen. I watched episode 1 of the … Continue reading →
[Edit: I’ve added some new spoiler pics, and will keep adding more to this post as it comes out] So word has reached my ears that certain members of Lie to Me fandom might perish in less than 2 weeks when the drama ends. I’ll try to do a nice gradual withdrawal for y’all (the way I did for M3-ers) … Continue reading →
Weekend dramas really aren’t my thing, primarily because I’m so busy on weekends I really have no time to watch. Nor do I want the possibility of getting rabidly obsessed with one. Nevertheless, I usually check them out anyways. Curiosity, it kills the Koala. Upcoming SBS weekend drama Scent of a Woman with Kim Sun Ah and Lee Dong Wook … Continue reading →
I’ve not posted much about Jang Geun Seok recently because he’s been busy filming You’re My Pet with Kim Ha Neul, and because I’m totally allergic to his new hairstyle for that movie. *shudders, why people be styling Seok like that?* His first solo album released in Japan a few months ago has sold very (VERY) well, so his music … Continue reading →
I find myself torn about the upcoming SBS Mon-Tues fusion sageuk Warrior Baek Dong Soo. I was totally salivating over it when it was rumored that Kim Bum would take the titular role. Then Ji Chang Wook was cast, and my interest plummet. And then my interest sky rocketed again when it was revealed Yoo Seung Ho turned down the lead … Continue reading →
This week’s Drunken to Love You looks so awesome based on the written and video preview. I’m also fairly certain that the final episode count will be 15 cups based on new updates. That sounds about right and will allow this story the proper amount of development to reach its conclusion. How many of you are going to be weeping tears of happiness … Continue reading →
Well, you know a new K-drama coupling is official when Baidu opens a bar for it. I haven’t seen a DC Kang Ji Hwan–Yoon Eun Hye gallery yet, but Baidu’s EunHwan bar (though I prefer to call my perfect couple HwanHye because I love alliteration) opened two days ago and already the goodies are starting to trickle out. Don’t get … Continue reading →
Anhui Television has started filming the third drama in it’s Happy Trilogy, and the first teaser pictures have been released. Cheryl Yang and Blue Lan are the leads of Happy Michelin Kitchen (I like them both), but I was rolling around squealing when I saw the first pictures of Li Yi Feng‘s look for the drama. *rubs eyes* OMG, he looks … Continue reading →
This episode was like heading right into the eye of the storm, and suddenly it’s all quiet and calm again for a brief moment in time. Our OTP found a pocket of serenity surrounded by a maelstrom that threatens to destroy everything that matters. It was temporary and hard fought, but I got to enjoy it with them for the … Continue reading →
Three lovely Korean actress have been honored to grace the cover of Instyle Korea Magazine for its 100 issue anniversary edition. Moon Geun Young represents an actress in her twenties, CF queen Kim Tae Hee is the envy of every woman in her thirties, and getting-hotter-by-the-year Kim Nam Joo dazzles on behalf of all the ladies in her forties. Instyle … Continue reading →
Okay, this was totally unexpected. After two weeks of radio silence from SBS until hours before the next episode airs, I was not expecting to see the written preview for episode 13 of Lie to Me released so soon. Hey, not looking a gift horse in the mouth here. I have the say that the written previews for LTM have generally … Continue reading →
This recap was so hard to write. So hard that I don’t even want to think about how I’m going to write the next three remaining ones. I was quaking inside from so many feelings bumping up against each other. Best Love (The Greatest Love) is the first Hong Sisters drama for me that has not taken a second half … Continue reading →
How strong is your capacity to handle angst, Best Love fans? My tolerance is pretty high, yet I ended up crying through the happy part of episode 13 of BL today and then smiling through the sad parts. That just means this drama is KILLING me with the tenderness mixed with the tension. I still don’t believe the Hong Sisters … Continue reading →
