I should just create a category titled “Pretty People Being Pretty”, since whenever I see great photos I have an urge to collect them all and then spazz about it. My addiction probably isn’t dramas, it’s probably pretty people IN the dramas. *is superficial* Bringing you the ads for the Spring/Summer 2011 Mind Bridge collection (plus some oldies and pretties from the … Continue reading →
The 2010 Year End Drama Awards for the major Korean networks were just a scant month ago, yet somewhere it feels like a year has passed. Allure Korea did a photospread on various actresses as they primped and prepared for attending one of the three awards shows. While I didn’t like all the dresses on these ladies the night of … Continue reading →
I don’t know what I am more excited for, the Super Bowl tomorrow or Dream High episode 10 on Monday. Probably the Super Bowl, but only by a hairsbreadth. My love of professional sports probably trumps my drama addiction, but that’s a subject for another place. Back to Dream High, which has everyone gnawing on their fat lower lip waiting … Continue reading →
Da Wu Sheng 大武生 (English title My Kingdom) might just be the most anticipated Chinese movie of 2011. A Sino-Hollywood collaboration, produced by Andre Morgan (Oscar-winning producer who made Million Dollar Baby), director Gao Xiao Sheng, famed screenwriter Zhou Jin Zi, with action choreography by Sammo Hung (famed actor and martial artist with 40 years of experience as a martial … Continue reading →
It’s been awhile since there has been any news about the ongoing filming of upcoming TW-drama Material Queen 拜金女王, starring Vanness Wu and Lynn Xiong (model-actress-girlfriend of Aaron Kwok). The production has been filming for the past four months, and may be getting a Spring air date on SETTV. It’s from the same writer-PD combo that brought 2009’s surprise hit … Continue reading →
On the heels of its upcoming Monday premiere, MBC released a full three and a half minute trailer for its upcoming sageuk The Duo. We don’t see any of the adult leads Chun Jung Myung, Han Ji Hye, or Lee Sang Yoon, except via snap shots of their characters. This drama looks like it will have a pretty substantial childhood/teenage portion (rather than told … Continue reading →
I’m too lazy to translate the world of fanfiction about the Geun-Geun Couple or stories continuing where Mary Stayed Out All Night left off. But when I came across this brilliant and ROFL picture story book, it begged me to take the time to share it. Bringing you a what-if scenario of: Mae Ri runs over Mu Gyul, sending him … Continue reading →
For some reason My Princess reminds me of My Girl, minus the Hong Sisters’ trademark humor and tone. I loved MG the first time I watched it, but years later on a rewatch it completely fell flat for me. All the cracks in the story were evident, and without an addiction to propel me, it was obvious that the story was … Continue reading →
It’s no secret that I have been loving every minute of Dream High for the last few weeks, each week more than the last even. Aside from a fun-to-ship love triangle, what really stands out in DH is how it’s such a positive and affirmative drama. Like a kissing cousin to God of Study, DH strives to send the message … Continue reading →
I have the best blog friends in the whole blogospere. You guys post hilarious comments, share anecdotes aplenty, and are always generous with your knowledge and expertise. Thank you for sharing your life and/or interests with me. I want to wish everyone a Happy Year of the Rabbit! Whether this is your birth year, or just another year to notch … Continue reading →
It’s been quite a treat getting to know new head-writer Jang Yang Shil’s first drama My Princess. I love that she has her own style, and that her drama has thus far being a unique creation that doesn’t copy the tone and substance of her mentor Kim Eun Sook’s works. Her approach is sweeter, gentler, a dash more whimsical and … Continue reading →
My I Lub You is back endorsing Giordano! It’s been years since he was their spokesperson (back in 2004 with Jeon Ji Hyun, which I’ll link to the CF after the jump as well, said CF being so hot it was apparently banned in Korea). A slew of super A-list stars have done Giordano ads since then (Jang Dong Gun, … Continue reading →
Just a note – I will keep recapping My Princess, since I hate to leave a project unfinished. If I can’t continue for whatever reason, I’ll let everyone know. Until then, I hope folks who like this drama continue to enjoy it. My opinions reflect only my thoughts, and shouldn’t influence you at all. 🙂 I haven’t watched episode 9 … Continue reading →
