Yay, it’s a first peek at Hyukkie back on the small screen after his career-topping performance in Chuno a year ago. The first behind-the-scene stills from SBS’s upcoming drama Midas has leaked out. Midas will follow Athena: Goddess of War on Mon-Tues, and stars Jang Hyuk, Lee Min Jung, Kim Hee Ae, and hot rising actor No Min Woo.
Continue reading →After a week or so of speculations and additional casting news, the entire main cast of the upcoming drama 49 Days has finally been confirmed. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an entire cast of main leads comprised completely of sageuk veterans, except for when the drama in discussion is a sageuk. 49 Days is a modern fantasy melodrama, and … Continue reading →
The fabulous and talented zitalei (小蕾) at Baidu’s Moon Geun Young Bar is back with more delightful artwork to help recovering Geun-Geun addicts kick their habit. Yeah, good luck with your twelve-step program. Someone let me know when you check out of the Geun2 love hotel/happy loony bin. I’ll probably still be in there.
Continue reading →When I do something late at night that seemed like such a brilliant idea, in the stark daylight I have to wonder – what was I smoking? I’ll probably give certain esteemed drama watchers an apoplexy, but nevertheless I went ahead and did it anyway. My latest drama review is up at Thundie’s, a first impression side-by-side look at President … Continue reading →
This is just a four-hot-guys picspam post. Nobody has a problem with that, right? When I read the news in the paper, sometime around November of 2009, that Lee Byung Hun, Jang Dong Gun, Song Seung Heon, and Won Bin, were going to hold fan-meeting/concerts in Tokyo in December of that same year, I had to rub my eyes to … Continue reading →
KBS will soon release the Mary Stayed Out All Night (Marry Me, Mary!) photo essay, a collection of photographs from the drama that chronicle the love story of Mae Ri and Mu Gyul. (Again, what was it the new writer tried to do? Oh yes, attempt to kill off Mu Gyul in episode 15. I never get tired of saying it … Continue reading →
A big thank you to @Anona for alerting to Yamapi‘s latest single dropping its PV. The song is called “Hadakanbo” (which means naked baby), and has a very Big Band crossed with J-pop vibe. In the video, Pi wears a sequined pink suit, sings for a Twenties-era speakeasy, and does other assorted lounge-esque escapades. He also dons all black with … Continue reading →
The leads of Dream High were captured on fan cam on the streets of Seoul, filming a scene for the upcoming episode. The students of Kirin High’s loser class, Hye Mi, Jin Gook, Sam Dong, and Pil Suk, performed a cover of SNSD‘s “Genie”. All I know is – Kim Soo Hyun is dancing to an idol cover, and shaking … Continue reading →
My Pi is back! I have an inkling that 2011 will be a stellar year for Yamapi (Yamashita Tomohisa), what with his movie Ashita no Joe being released in February, and his solo Asia tour launching at the end of January in Hong Kong. This means that Pi will probably do a drama in the second half of the year, … Continue reading →
I miss the good old days of Mary Stayed Out All Night written previews. Those were some detailed spoilers, and good for some major squealing and/or rage sessions that really heightened everyone’s interest until the episode aired. While the My Princess written previews aren’t as incomprehensible as those of Secret Garden, it’s still rather slim pickings. Better than nothing, I … Continue reading →
It’s Secret Garden finale weekend, and the production is pulling out all stops with a concert held tonight, with footage that will make it into tomorrow’s final episode. This production schedule makes me realize that what happened in episode 1 of World’s Within was fact, and not fiction. Now I need to go back and finish that drama, especially since … Continue reading →
MBC’s upcoming sageuk drama The Duo held its shooting session for its poster yesterday, and the three leads Chun Jung Myung, Han Ji Hye, and Lee Sang Yoon were all dressed in their sageuk costumes for the first time. I totally want PIE’s hair to be in a mane of glory instead of tied up in a bun. But he … Continue reading →
It appears that Secret Garden will wrap up this weekend in a flurry of viewer interest and pop cultural supremacy in Korea. A big congrats to the SG team (cast and crew) for working so hard on this drama. It’s no secret that it was a grueling production, and I’m just relieved that it was so well-received because so many … Continue reading →
